Here is where I am in regard to Bru. If he can just return to his previous form as a devastating lead blocker on WR screens, I absolutely think it is worth having him return next season. From what I am reading, it seems this board may be going a little bipolar again. On one hand, people are very concerned about the lack of experience and proven ability returning to the WR room and, on the other hand, we don't know if we want Bru to come back because he would potentially take targets away from the young guys.

I don't disagree because I've not seen him even mentioned as someone to consider from anyone who I consider to be doing anything more than guessing. But @KingVFL has twice been asked directly about him, and despite answering nearly every other question in that same time period, chose to breeze on past the Tate inquiries.

I'm not saying it means anything, but just something I've noticed and though perhaps worth mentioning.

I think you’re reading too much into nothing.

I love Bru but at some point you just gotta hang it up and move on. With the tight roster situation and the need to develop talent, I am not sure he is worth keeping. I would be happy to be wrong as he is a true VFL.
Nah, I think he’s high reward almost no risk. He’s got to be a graduate by now. Probably doesn’t even take a scholarship spot. Everybody loves the guy.

Let me apologize for being an ass yesterday. You don’t have to accept it, and I’d understand why.

But as a grown adult, I’m sorry for being a kid yesterday. I shouldn’t have came at you like that nor questioned your credibility.

Thank you for providing whatever information you drop here.

ha i can click into it because you replied.

all good @TrippieRedd.

McCoy, Thornton, and Matthews. And quite obviously... they didn't. Talent is talent is talent.... whether some journalist slaps "stars" on it or not.

You're so blind that you don't even know what you're talking about... really, didn't know that UT had 3 5* WRs while arguing that "stars" are EVERYTHING? I would be embarrassed for you... if you hadn't been such a butthead on this issue.
Calling him blind, butthead, and claiming he doesn't know what he's talking about when you called Thornton a five-star is... quite something.

On3 Comp. / #71 / 4-star
On3 / #140 / 4-star
247 / #75 / 4-star
Rivals / #62 / 4-star
ESPN / #93 / 4-star

That said, outside of Jeremiah Smith (who is an absolute freak) you're right in claiming that the rooms aren't all that far apart purely in terms of recruiting grades. Ohio State's top 5 receivers average 97.5 (1st in the country) in the composite. Ours average 92.8 (7th nationally).

Coming out of HS, Thornton was a 5*. He was a 4* as a transfer.

I think I’ve been added to some ignore lists the past month. That would be a cool metric for VN to track under your membership data. How many have placed you on ignore.
Pretty sure I'm on plenty of ignore lists. That's why I can't start the communal threads. In turn, I have no one on ignore. Arguing with people is fun.

Self-awareness is rare these days. Kudos to you.

I wish, but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say he will cost way too much.
Hard to know what you'd really get with him anyway. His production was incredible, no doubt. But Montana State's run game is going to be nasty whoever is at RB. Their system cuts through everybody at that level, and their OL has been consistently tops or near the top of the FCS.

Also...if we can land Thaddeus Dixon you 100% add him.

I think Gibson and McCoy both are great CBs, but Brooks is gone, Boo wants to play Offense and Turrentine has been good but not great.

So adding another high rated CB who can play and compete would be good. Based on his top 5 I don't think any of them can offer him a starting role except maybe UNC but seems weird to leave Washington for a school with a new HC that is already potentially getting poached back to the NFL...

In 2023 that didn’t have a RB go for 1000, but had 3 guys in the 500-700 range.

Similar to our 2022 season*
