In 2023 that didn’t have a RB go for 1000, but had 3 guys in the 500-700 range.

Similar to our 2022 season*
They had 3 go for 1,000 this year. In the last 3 years they've run for 6.8, 7.7, and 6.8 ypc as a team.

If you've never watched MTST play, go check out highlights from a game. Granted it's at the FCS level, but it's one of the most beautiful, devastating rushing attacks you'll ever have the pleasure of watching.

Something must’ve changed this year then with their scheme, because in 23 it wasn’t as potent (from the stats) the ypc were still there though.

I‘ve been watching Montana St, NDSU, and James Madison when I really started getting into football in 2014.

Their passing game improved a lot this year. Mellott took off through the air, kept drives alive longer and they ran 250-300 more plays.

Still ran for 3,600 yards and 41 touchdowns with 5 guys over 400 yards last year on 7.7 ypc. Absolutely ridiculous lol.

I love Bru but at some point you just gotta hang it up and move on. With the tight roster situation and the need to develop talent, I am not sure he is worth keeping. I would be happy to be wrong as he is a true VFL.
Maybe he’s not getting told he will get paid by the NFL so instead he’s trying to milk the college NIL opportunity another year instead of going into the workforce like any other college graduate which would likely mean a cut in pay and a complete loss of attention afforded a starting SEC player.

So some individuals believe Carnell Tate is going to leave Ohio State because Jeremiah Smith is the featured receiver.

What guarantees Tate will be #1 option at TENNESSEE with Matthews and Brazzell still here?

I mean he was more productive than both against similar competition. So, while there are no guarantees, he is FAR more likely to be the WR1 here than trying to unseat Jeremiah Smith.

Bru would be a great safety blanket receiver. Fantastic blocker, big body. Strong catch radius over the middle. Not the top gear needed to be the 1-1 outside guy.

He will probably be a stud at Oregon. We should have tried to get him. I mean we aren’t getting a Carnell Tate or anyone like that. All the really good WRs are gone from the portal it seems.
Four teams are still playing and I'm sure those teams will lose some really good players to the portal when they're no longer playing. Each losing team will be given a 5-day window for those players wanting to transfer. We also have the next portal dates in April to get, and lose, players.

Let me apologize for being an ass yesterday. You don’t have to accept it, and I’d understand why.

But as a grown adult, I’m sorry for being a kid yesterday. I shouldn’t have came at you like that nor questioned your credibility.

Thank you for providing whatever information you drop here.
Just wanted to say I think this was big of you to admit you'd been acting poorly, own up to it, and apologize. More people need to respond like this when they're clearly in the wrong, rather than doubling down and continuing to act like an a** or simply ignoring criticism from others. Hope this inspires others on here and IRL to take accountability and admit when they're wrong. And to do it with humility.

Respect you for doing that, Trippie.

Hard to know what you'd really get with him anyway. His production was incredible, no doubt. But Montana State's run game is going to be nasty whoever is at RB. Their system cuts through everybody at that level, and their OL has been consistently tops or near the top of the FCS.
Can we get any of their Oline then!?

Certainly not what I'm trying to do. Just want to make that clear.

And I agree, for the most part, you've steered clear of commenting on those guys as best I can remember. But last night, you answered someone's comment on Bryce Lance as someone whose name you hadn't heard mentioned. To my knowledge, Lance isn't in the portal, so that was when I began to wonder about your choice to not engage in the Tate rumors.

You don't have to divulge anything one way or the other. You don't owe us anything. I just found that to be interesting. Time will tell whether my spidey senses tingling was anything, or just a cool breeze. 😀

I haven't heard any rumors about Carnell Tate whatsoever. What I have heard is a bunch of hopeful speculation. That is different than a rumor in my book.

MM had one foot out the door because he wasn’t getting enough snaps, and now posters want to bring in another talented WR1 or two to take MM’s said snaps.

Make it make sense. Please.

Supposedly it didn't have anything to do with this past year and more to do with the Nico situation.

And Tate is already what we hope MM can become in 2025.
