Still want (according to insiders and VQ) a RB, WR, OG, and a DT.

Looking at the transfer portal on On3, pickings are slim.

We really need some good players from these last 4 teams to hit the portal.
I'm hoping with OG / DT / RB we are able to get a Jaxson Moi type player. Not super highly ranked and was a rotation guy at Stanford. We took him for depth but he made a much bigger impact than the coaches even thought he would. More worried about WR. Feel like we need a dude there and unless one leaves from one of these playoff teams I'm not seeing it.

Bru at TE just makes a lot of sense to me. He’s already 229 and 6 ft 3.

I think he could play a Princeton Fant type role and honestly it would be his best chance at the nfl. I don’t think he’s running faster than a 4.7. Hes quick enough to get by linebackers though and can drag a safety a few years across the middle on short passes. And we know he’s a plus blocker.

Curious if any or the insiders know has this ever even been talked about by the staff or him? Or is he dead set at wanting to be a WR? Think it became pretty apparent this year the separation isn’t there on the outside consistently enough for him.
Why are so many of you set on Bru being a TE?
Want him out of the way so our young WR can get on the field.
Well what about our young TE’s , ? We got some good young guys that haven’t been on the field much or at all

We’re just stating that’s where he would be better suited with all of the injuries.

I love the kid and I’m thankful he represented this university, but he doesn’t need to be taking snaps from the younger kids anymore.

I’d tell him to move on and if he doesn’t make the NFL, he can come back as Grad Assistant.

I'm sure they'll all suck given the fact that they'll be coming from 4 of the better teams.

That depends on whether or not they are better.
We have absolutely 0 WR’s that have made that case yet.

I’ll ride with the coaches on this one.

If they feel they have 4 guys that are going to provide more and play them, fine,
If not ok.✅

🥱🕑 Man this really sux!! Someone tell me some good news.....something.....anything.....please!!!
Pregnon is on campus. Talking with players, coaches, Spyre etc. That is very good news. This is the first step. More will come out soon. Just practice some patience my friend. We just got Jefferson who everyone wanted last year.

Pregnon would a big addition to the Vol family. But as fans, we should probably give him a wide berth in order to make his decision. Hopefully he realizes the Pro's that come with the choice to be a VFL and aborts his plans of visiting other schools.

you could tell by the camera pan to Carson Beck on the sideline during the playoff game when they scored a touchdown he could care less about being there

I just don’t think he’s quite dynamic enough on the outside. But that he would be dynamic at te. If those young te’s are better let’s play them. If the young wr’s are better play them. I was just curious as to if that’s even been discussed. His size and blocking ability make it a intriguing thought. Bru isn’t much smaller than Brock Bowers for instance.

He wouldn’t consider coming here just to play second fiddle to Nico, but I’d take Beck as QB2 in the off chance something happened to Nico injury wise.

And before I get skewered by some, read the post again 🙄🤦‍♂️

Stars matter in the aggregate when looking at which teams likely have the most talent. Doesn’t mean that the team with more stars is always a better team for a number of reasons. Stars also don’t really matter when looking at individual players again for lots of reasons.

Also, this argument is pretty stale. I can’t believe I wasted everyone’s time typing this out.
Agree. I actually ignored BOT a few times since the last time I jumped in the mud to wrestle this pig.

I absolutely agree about the aggregate. I would add to it that there is a rolling "range" of plus or minus 5 spots or maybe even 10. 247's 5th ranked composite roster could easily be the most talented. #10 might be #5. #20 might be #10.

And any team in the top 20 has enough talent to beat the others. From there it comes down to development, coaching, injuries, and "the breaks".

BOT called me out when OSU beat UT. Supposedly ALL about the stars, right? Nothing when ND monkey stomped UGA. Not really convenient for him to talk about OU... UF... FSU... USC... Michigan... Auburn. All teams that supposedly have top 20 talent but were really bad teams for most of the year.

I mean think about who the recruiting sites say is the consensus most talented team in the country- Bama. Beaten by Vandy and OU plus a mediocre at very best Michigan team. They're not the most talented team in the country... and probably weren't top 5. Still talented but also overrated.
