Spot on. I think it’s really that simple.Deion was an outstanding player of the game.
I don't think he's coached long enough to be able to know how good a coach he is. His reputation as a player has led to him getting some excellent players, which allow him to out-talent other teams. But his body of work is still too small to know if he's outcoaching other teams or just has better talent. IMO, he's not ready for the NFL, but I could easily be wrong.
As a person, he comes across extremely arrogant. That's why most people don't like him.
Playoff teams like Penn St are on CooleyI wish we would have pursued Tamarcus Cooley, the safety from NC State. Looks like he's projected to Ole Miss on On3. I think he could have solidified our DB room. Bishop Fitzgerald, also a safety from NC State, would have been a good pickup, too. Add them and a solid DT and I would like our defense next season a lot more. I'm fine with going young on offense next season.
I'm not blaming their safeties, just responding to an idiotic comment about how we are not serious because we may not go after either of them in the portal. As far as their impact on that game, and again against what an awful lot of people keep calling a terrible and predictable offense, Cooley had two assisted tackles with one being for a loss. Fitzgerald had 3 total tackles(2 solo). Neither were credited with a Pass defensed or Interception in the game. I'm sure they both played just fine but the one safety who had a memorable performance in that game was Will Brooks.Their safeties actually weren't bad. But they're just 2 of 11 players on the defense. Blaming them is akin to BOT's absurd comments about JPJ all year.
