I would also like to know who we have been outbid on. Which guys were we going after that went somewhere else due to us being outbid? Josh Thompson is the only one I can think of. Were we outbid or did LSU offer him more than we thought he was worth?

How much are you contributing? The fans provide the funding. If we don’t have enough then whose fault is it?

I understand that some posters live to get offended by any post they deem as "negative", but I think it's completely fair for any fan to be underwhelmed by our portal strategy thus far. We've been slow and methodical while other teams have been quite aggressive. Thankfully, there's still teams left that could lose players to the portal. And we'll see if things take a turn to make everyone happy. But I doubt it. Some people are never happy. Simple fact of life. But I can understand being underwhelmed RIGHT NOW.

We’ve got a few slots for players. Obviously they’re going to spend big on one guy and apparently it will be at WR. There’s a few schools in the country that you’re just not going to outbid if it comes down to it, two of them were in the running for this guy.

Our OL is ass. As harsh as King has been, I have no faith any of the guys waiting are ready to step up.

I will not enjoy seeing Nico get sacked more than 25+ times like he did this year, combine that with no Sampson and it looks bleak.

I get it, people can spin it how they want and say we will actually be good with development, till I see it, I’m not buying it.

Pregnon would have solidified the OL and made it comparable to this years, at least at the guard spots with he and Moe. I hope whoever we go after now is comparable to Pregnon.

I just didn’t want to get to that point…potentially.

If that ends up being the case, then our season in my opinion didn’t go as planned, and that’s a problem. I guess having the occasional 8-4/9-3 season isn’t bad, but I absolutely hate seeing glimpses of potentially going back to our past.

I get it, Heupel has done nothing to show that he’s going in that direction, but some of the stuff I’ve seen is stuff we’ve seen the past, and we all saw how that went (hiring/firing his friends situation is one example)

I truly like Heupel, I think he’s done a hell of a job, and I don’t want him to be another coach on our list. I hate being at the bottom and don’t want to head in that direction ever again.

People can take my bitching and complaining as being negative and that’s fine, I’ll wear that badge. I also understand that it does nothing, but this is a board where I can throw my thoughts out there.

No one currently in the portal is comparable to Prego, IMO.

I'm good with going with the young guys. Hopefully they perform fine, protect Nico, and we have a great year. If we struggle, then maybe Nico comes back for an extra year. And maybe we see Elarbee is not the guy. As much as I've said he's not, I actually hope he proves me wrong. I will gladly eat crow for better pass protection next year.

Being out bid seems like an assumption, at least at this point. There can actually be other factors that have swayed him toward Oregon or Texas besides a simple money transaction.

I would have thought if there were major questions more from this room would have joined the WR in the portal and Like the DB’s last year.

I will wait to spaz out till after spring AND late portal. Big money late could be an alarm. If not I will try to act like an adult.

After Moe, it appears to me they were bargin shopping the current portal. Let big money slip out to incentivize post spring entries then strike out, questions would be in order. Use money elsewhere and it will be fall before answers are available.
