OSU beat our beloved Vols like a drum.

As they did #1 Oregon.
As they’re doing to Notre Dame right now.

And we had to play them in Columbus, not a neutral site.

Tennessee, given Notre Dame’s seed, would’ve made a run. Indiana in Neyland, Georgia without a QB, then Penn State…I like that road.

Yeah OSU ponied up for a great roster and IT SHOWS.

Several posters here want Heupel and the big $$$ guys to pay up for OSU’s 3rd receiver (who is an excellent receiver) but not for a difference making RB, LB or even an OL - just interesting perspective for NIL spending and chat board posters (wrong, right or indifferent).

You're deluded. We could have won through Notre Dame's path and made it to this game. Who did they beat? UGA without Beck? We could have done that IMO.

lol but for the new playoff, the two teams playing tonight in the NC game - including the one that has looked head and shoulders above every other team in the playoffs - don’t make the playoffs

We lost to the National Title winners who thrashed everyone else in playoff just like us or worse except Texas.

We were probably one of the top 5-6 teams in the country, we aren’t that far off. But that last step is the hardest!!

Need a couple more game changer additions this week and we will be ready to compete with a QB who will take a huge leap this offseason!

Let’s hope all the plans come to fruition.

Really just need a better path in the playoff and we could’ve found our way into this game.

But nobody was beating OSU. Just like other years where nobody was beating an LSU or UGA.

I think we were capable of beating any team in the playoff, except for the team we had to face first. OSU has been a buzzsaw. Ignorant people can have a different opinion, but if we had been on the other side of the bracket, we're where ND is.

Vols likely beat Indiana but IMO TN doesn’t make it past GA.

No one is always right. It's okay to be wrong. The sting of being wrong is normally enough. People don't need to pile on by crying about it. If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen. The world doesn't end. We'll still play football next season. The team may or not be as good as we want. We won't know until the season is played. And being disappointed is okay. Just don't attack someone because they happened to be wrong.

Everyone on this site gets piled on by some at some time or another for just stating their opinion or disagreeing with others opinions.

Nobody is rallying to protect the other 99% of us on here that get attacked,
But id say most don’t care and ain’t gonna be “run off” by Random internet board posters we don’t even know.

If the insider’s can’t take the heat everyone else does then I guess they need to run off.

Spyre is NOT determining how much it will spend on any player. NIL spending is dictated by Heupel and his staff and whatever budget there is…..The lion’s share of the NIL budget is coming from the big $$$ donors not the rank and file fans who have joined/sponsored the Volunteer Club and/or Spyre.

I mean, excuse me for saying Spyre. Do I need to say NIL Collective? I don't know why you took our conversation and focused on Spyre. I mean, I guess we can just ignore my actual point which is that losing out on other high profile Tackles may have led to donors/ NIL Collective/ Spyre/ Heupel to be more inclined to allocate funds to ensure we get Sanders after losing out on the other guys? Or do we just want to talk about how it works?
