It was Ohio State and everyone else. Texas looked pretty good but about let the Arizona state game get away from them; I do think they would’ve been a horrible matchup for us. Notre Dame as well would’ve been a tough matchup for us. Penn state with that TE would be tough as well. SMU, Boise, Clemson, Georgia without Beck I think we win all those games. We matchup well with Arizona st as well imo, I think we win that game. I do think Tennessee was probably a top 6-8 team when healthy this season.

We were probably one of the top 5-6 teams in the country, we aren’t that far off. But that last step is the hardest!!

Need a couple more game changer additions this week and we will be ready to compete with a QB who will take a huge leap this offseason!

Means getting big time playmakers consistently. Need them to start doing that at a higher level outside of QB and EDGE moving forward. I'm not the biggest fan of the 'well we lost to the team that won it all' comments, bc those types of talents are also on Georgia, Oregon, Texas, etc year in and year out, so it's not like Vols were just a lock to win a game if they played someone else. Hopefully, they use this as a learning moment to elevate the program (in a couple ways). If they just keep doing the same thing moving forward, will be in this same position every year. 2026 class will be vital IMO. Don't think it's great in-state either so they really have to go out there and win some battles. Or they can keep going for the guys that we'll see people saying 'well that's not a big loss' in 2-3 years

And we had to play them in Columbus, not a neutral site.

Tennessee, given Notre Dame’s seed, would’ve made a run. Indiana in Neyland, Georgia without a QB, then Penn State…I like that road.

2026 is not a great recruiting class instate (though not a terrible one), but it is a great year in NC and that’s our 2nd “instate” territory when we’re rolling. Need to rack up in NC.
