Well, Notre Dame is in a bigger halftime deficit than we were, so there is that. I'm not sure how you are coming to the conclusion that both teams have a clearly better roster. Ohio State...sure, Notre Dame...very debatable. To your last comment, but for the new playoff, neither of the teams playing tonight would be in, either. In the four team format, it would have been Oregon vs Texas and Georgia vs Penn St.

Apparently I missed something. Who says we are going to a 4 team playoff? The Vols were ranked 6th/7th going into the playoffs...in what world does that not make us a playoff team? Thanks to anyone who responds.

Based on what? The only #1 caliber WRs in the portal than actually have a lot of production are Singleton and Concepcion.

What WRs were available that were clear upgrades and/or had a better pedigrees than Matthews or Brazzell?

And we had to play them in Columbus, not a neutral site.

Tennessee, given Notre Dame’s seed, would’ve made a run. Indiana in Neyland, Georgia without a QB, then Penn State…I like that road.

I’m 10+ pages behind, so forgive me, but if Notre Dame doesn’t want to join a conference, thus getting to hand pick their opponent each year, then they can be no higher than 8-10 seed. Don’t like join a conference. I’m sick and tired of bowing to their demands.

The thing is Hartline is under Kelly. Kelly’s offense has some similarities to Heupels. I see no issue with making the offer. But I know it would never happen. Heupel isn’t an out of the box hire type of guy.

I don’t see many, if any similarities. What are they?
