Well if it ends up being the MMs portal window it could possibly go on for a couple of weeks especially since the 5th day falls on the weekend and not a business day.

I think we're starting to see reported information showing that we've laid the groundwork to try and convince Tate to jump ship. It may not work at the end of the day, but at least we're out there trying to land impact players. I think it's certainly more than a pipe dream, but we should all know that nothing is guaranteed when it comes to NIL and the transfer portal.

Maybe he wants to be a player that wins two national championships at different schools. Maybe he wants to be the number #1 guy and have plenty of film where he's the one that makes the big plays. Maybe he's unsure about an unproven qb throwing him the ball next year and wants to team up with a qb destined for NFL play. Maybe he just wants that big payday and OSU is busy throwing 3 mil at Jeremiah Smith. All of these hypotheticals could be in our favor. All of these hypotheticals could be in play, but all it takes is one to make this happen.

I could be wrong but the last day to add classes at UTK is Jan 27. So it won’t be weeks

oregon could make sense, i remember in the early stages of his recruitment process tate & oregon qb now dante moore were viewed as an package deal. they took a lot of visits together, so there are some ties there.

You have got to be kidding. Look at the Bamas, Georgias, Clemsons and Ohio States. I mean even a 5 year old can see it. An elite coaching staff full of recruiters and developers. Rosters full of highly ranked players. That’s the formula. Good grief.

That's great. Anyone can say, "yeah, the key to a national title is to recruit a lot of talent, develop it, and have great scheme!"

Knowing how to DO that is a different story.

I forgot all about that but now that you mention it I remember my first red flag about him potentially coming here during his recruitment was when he tweeted something out to the effect that Moore was the best QB in that class. Felt like semi shade towards Nico.
