I was under the impression we wanted an experienced DT for our rotation. I think getting a good CB as insurance for McCoy would be prudent. I feel like our Safety room almost always gets bit by the injury bug, so getting another safety as insurance would be nice. JMO, but it's easier to go young on offense than it is defense when your HC is an offensive guru.
I’d take a very good starting safety if available not an insurance take. That’s unlikely.

Hill also plays in a much easier era that emphasizes the pass more. DBs could kill WRs in Irvin’s day. You can barely touch WRs now.
You made the comparison. We can debate the differences in the game all day, but calling speed overrated and using Hill as the example was a poor choice. Someone like Derrius Heyward-Bey or John Ross would have been better examples to make your point because they weren't also good WRs. Hill is both fast and a great WR who uses his speed to get open and outrun opponents despite being 5-10 (maybe).

You only have so many spots. Who are you cutting so you can add? You won’t get a good walk-on out of the portal.

I have a few ideas. Will not surprise me in the least to see a few more players hit the portal after Spring.
