I wouldn't say VN is a nice message board.( Atleast not to each other,) But for me personally I love it since I live outside of Birmingham and let's me keep up with Vol news. But,with some of the douchers we have as fans who love to bitch back and forth with other Vol Fans is the downside. . I've honestly never seen a fanbase as bad as ours when it comes to that. I can definitely see why we are hated as a fan base. Exactly why I don't interact like I used to when I joined 15+ yrs ago. Lots of really good insiders have been run off.

You're not wrong. OL and WR Coaching both leave a lot to be desired. CJH has the means to make this an elite staff, but has yet to do it. Our Defensive Assistants are way better than our offensive. It's not up to be obviously, but I'd love to see upgrades at OL, WR, OC and DB coaching . JMO opinion, which really means nothing.

They didn't say Big 10 schools had no donors willing to go the illicit route. They just said Big 10 schools have more millionaire alumni than SEC schools, and now that it's legal to do, more of those alumni are willing to get involved. The narrative seemed to be more rich people come from up north than the poor south. I have no idea. Just repeating what I heard on the radio. If someone else has the desire to actually research the validity of such a claim, feel free.

I’ve seen/heard this narrative before. It’s more Big 10 fake moral superiority. Those rich boosters were perfectly willing to get involved when it was under the table.

Meanwhile, these morally superior Big 10 schools have no problem covering up child rape, cheating by stealing signals, and being involved in sex scandals involving coaches and players. They’re just too moral to pay players under the table…that’s a bridge too far.

Also, look at the recruiting class rankings. The SEC has like 13 of the top 25 in 2025. It’s the same as it always was.

If you think Irvin was better at route running, you haven't watched Hill. He isn't some one trick pony like Desean Jackson who only feasts on posts and jail break screens. He's legitimately a fantastic route runner, and even a 5 second Google search would show you that.

Because maybe he wants to be the #1 guy. No WR is gonna be the #1 guy on a team that has Jeremiah Smith.

Fact is, we need a take the top off type WR. We saw with Hyatt what our offense can look like with one. I personally think he will be a Vol and we can still add a few of ND' s Olinemen( or someone else's). It's not like we won't lose more guys in the spring, either by their choice or the Coach's. There will be available spots to go upgrade.

I've never said Elarbee was the worst OL coach ever. I've actually credited as being great at teaching run blocking. But he appears subpar at teaching pass blocking. And he hasn't developed any of his HS recruits as of yet. Here we have posters dreaming of bringing in all the ND OL transfers while singing the praises of Elarbee. If you want all those OL transfers, you obviously have less faith in Elarbee than you're proclaiming. My guess, and this is only a guess, if we Land Pendleton, that's it for the OL. Satterwhite will most likely be our starting center as we finally see an Elarbee recruit getting serious time. This season will be a tell-tale season for Elarbee, IMO. And I'll gladly eat crow if they pass block well and protect Nico. But protecting Nico is a huge priority.
