If Smith's offer is 4.5 mil and Tate's is 2mil, then they are talking more like 7mil
7 mil for just 2 players... Don't know how they're gonna keep the rest of the players when they spend so much on just 2.. We'll see though... College football is pretty much what teams are willing to pay.. There is no ceiling and it's only gonna get worse if there aren't some kind of rules set

Short of unionization and collective bargaining agreements that would follow, the courts have already spoken.

Yeah Oregon has a big offer on the table and the GF.

Hope we can match it by creating a GF
Yeah, but it's kinda up in the air if he would be a #1 there ya know. They have a crapload of WRs already in #1 WR commit Dakorien Moore, plus Stewart, Pellum, Benson, etc. I know Pellum and Benson probably won't be #1s but they also have some other big commits coming in at WR. So I guess we will see. Hoping he comes to the Volunteer state. If not, MM, Brazzell, Stayley, Boo, Smith, Jackson, Dodson, and possibly Brahme doesn't sound like a bad WR core.

I have a hard time believing that they will tie up almost 7mil between two receivers. They also have another 5* WR signed for next year along with the other 5*'s on their roster. Are they really going to tie up close to 10mil for just their WR room?
Interesting dilemma. Who’s supposed to get them the ball next year? All their guys in waiting have transferred out, except for Julian Sayin, right? Is he the real deal? On one hand, why would you tie up the money in the receivers if you’re not confident you have a guy that can make every pass to get them the ball. On the other hand, maybe that’s exactly why you need the best wr room in the country, to make up for any qb talent dropoff.

Although, with no real restrictions on NIL cemented yet, maybe they don’t care. Apparently their football program is worth twice as much as ours and only in competition with Texas from the report WSJ released.

I think they have the money to blow.
