Does Deon Grant have a son we can recruit?
Hope so. I loved watching him play. He made the play of the game vs Florida in 1998. Fl had a guy open for a score but Deon came out from nowhere for a one handed int. He left after jr yr that season for the NFL.

Eric Berry?
Berry and Grant. Some say McCollough since he had success w Rams. But I don’t think he is up there with Deon Grant and Berry.

Cool story - I met one of Berry’s cousin last yr in the Nashville area. She said the Berry brothers are doing well. Evan is still in Atlanta area.

Grant was so great in coverage. Obviously EB was a once in a lifetime player. I remember the buzz that Janzen Jackson was the most athletic Safety we ever had. Sadly that kid couldn’t stay of of trouble. It sure would be nice to have a great safety again.

It’s a bit of a branching narrative. There are two safeties that we’ve talked to that could come before Spring depending on a potential coaching change (head coach). I think this is getting less likely as nothing has happened and it’s getting harder to meet class/drop add deadlines. Separately there are guys we have our eyes on post Spring. There’s a chance we stand pat if some younger guys have a great Spring, but I can’t imagine a scenario where we don’t add someone with the potential to upgrade there.
I'm going to start a gofundme to buy you new socks.

Nigel Warrior didn't have a career that lived up to his ranking, but I think he was playing at an elite level most of his senior year. That defense made a big improvement the moment the light bulb finally went on for him. That team probably doesn't make a bowl game otherwise.

Forgot about Jackson. He had all the tools.
Great Safety play helps cover defensive deficiencies.

Yes. This year’s Spring is going to be a bit more cutthroat all over. We do not have the luxury of keeping guys who can’t get on the field at Safety. I can see one or two guys leaving if they don’t make big leaps. The shopping list is the same as it was three weeks ago. Any hole we haven’t filled is still a place we need help.
I'm concerned that McCoy won't be up to speed at the start of the season. Really thought this staff would have gone for a corner in the portal. Are they confident he's going to be ready? Are they equally as confident in the backups? Sure hope there's a plan B.

Saying Moss was a one trick pony ridiculously stupid. Sorry bro, just take a L on this one.

I’ve waffled on putting BOT on the ignore list for a long time. I try to avoid it because censoring other opinions is a bad way to live life. I save it for people I think are being intentionally obtuse and this comment finally convinced me. I chalked his ref takes up to him either being a ref or close relative of one. Now I just think he’s a troll.
