Looks like no Gonzales, either. Volquest is reporting that Jim Chaney will likely be the OC/OL coach.

Jimmy Lake is also a possibility for DB coach. Apparently, he will be interviewing for the job this week. He was an assistant DB coach under Monte at TB.

So our staff is shaping up to look something like this (somewhat educated guesses are in parenthesis)...
OC/OL - Jim Chaney
QB/RC - David Reaves
RB - (Eddie Gran)
WR - ???
TE/ST - (Brian Schneider)

DC - Monte Kiffin
DL - James Cregg
LB - ???
DB - (Jimmy Lake)

I can't really get a good feel for who Kiffin may be looking at to fill the WR and LB positions, but other than those spots... How would you feel about that staff?

Chaney will not get a ridiculous salary. Add that to the money we save by not getting Coach O and money will be no problem for the rest of the staff.

Gonzales is not even remotely on the Table either, remember he was at BGU, Utah, and now UF with CUM, not to mention he has become their recruiting coordinator. Do you think we can really sway him with money, they are on the verge of winning their 2nd National Championship in 3 years, I am sad we lost Scott and feel we go after a Scott or TT type. A guy whom can make current guys feel like a friend and recruits feel like a family member.
