What about Doug Marrone? I've heard his name mentioned but I have no idea what the tie is.
He does have ties to Tennessee, but his next move will probably be to a HC spot. He has interviewed for the Syracuse job. Expecting him to come here as a coordinator is a little wishful thinking IMO.

There's probably no chance in hades of this happening, but what about Sly Croom coming in as RB/OC?
Stranger things have happened. It would be a great move to get him here in that role.

I'll add both Croom and Marone in a minute.

Trooper Taylor is in the mix somewhere. Dan Brooks or Steve Caldwell could be retained from the current staff

ESPN reporting that there is a STRONG possibility that Monte is coming to UT to coach with his son!!!!! C'mon Monte!!!!

Think of Callahan like Norv Turner. You don't want them heading the team, but the offenses they orchestrate have undeniable success. I'm elated if Callahan says yes to OC.

I do not think we will get him we would have to pay at least a million for him. He makes Mike Leach look look like a pee-wee coach when it comes to offensive guru status. So anyone getting upset about him being an OC you really need to do some research.

Why in god's name would we hire South Carolina's quarterback coach to be our offensive coordinator? If Mike Hamilton makes this hire I will have lost even more respect than I already had lost for the man.

Surely Lane will be calling all the plays hisself, this guy would be for recruiting purposes.

Dan Brooks is a HELL of a coach, and it would be a major mistake to let that guy go. Caldwell on the other hand is replaceable without a doubt. Brooks needs to stay on for sure.

Is there confirmation of the 7 pm team meeting?
Surely Lane knows Bruce's boys play at 7:30.

I don't think its about the $$$ now for Monte', he is in the twilight of his career and is looking to work with his son...The Defense should be stout, can't wait to see what this staff will look like...not to crazy about the mention of Callahan

Callahan = Gruden's OC at Oakland, took Oakland to Super Bowl as HC...his problem at Nebraska was a severe lack of D...last year they scored 31 points, 39 points and 51 points in three of their losses.
