Denver QB coach Jeremy Bates added to the list.

UF WR coach/RC Billy Gonzales also added.

The Jeremy Bates thing seems like it could have some legs to it. Also, I don't think it's certain that Reaves will be a QB coach.

Like someone else asked earlier. What is so great about Reaves? South Carolina QB's have been all but great. I personally don't know anything about the guy. Is there upside with him or would he just be coming because of the family ties with Kiffin?

As stated before Reaves was just QB coach in title only. Spurrier works with QBs.

He was the recruiting coordinator and a damn good one at that. I have no idea what his title will be here.

Some facts about David Reaves:

Six years coaching at South Carolina.

Currently QB coach and recruiting coordinator.

Credited with signing best class ever at USC.

Starting QB for Ap St for three years, leading them to the playoffs each season.

Son of John Reaves who was All-American QB and NCAA all-time passing leader at Florida and first round NFL draftee with an 13 year professional career.

Cannot wait till hear that J. Long has packed his stuff up.

Johnny Long is the worst strength and conditioning coach in the country. He calls a friend of mine here in Nashville monthly and asks him tips on new drills, etc... My friend has been running a private strength and conditioning facility for about four years now........ You'd think he would be calling JL for advice! The guy is a joke.

I have heard that Dave DeGuglielmo, assistant offensive line coach of the N.Y. Giants, is a strong possibility for O-line coach. Also Kevin Steele is a very real possibility on the defensive staff.

All I have to say is "THANK GOD WE'LL HAVE A SPECIAL TEAMS COACH NOW!!!!"

I've read Brian Schneider mentioned as special teams coordinator, here are some interesting facts on Schneider:

Brian Schneider is in his fourth season as a member of the Bruin coaching staff. This is his first year tutoring the tight ends and his third season coaching all of UCLA's special teams units.

In 2005, several of Schneider's special teams units ranked among the best in the nation -- punt returns, kickoff coverage and net punting.

Maurice Drew led the nation in punt returns with an NCAA-record 28.5 average, including three touchdowns.

In 2004, he took charge of all Bruin special teams units in addition to coaching the outside linebackers and nickel backs.

In 2003, he served as coach of the Bruin outside linebackers and nickel backs, as well as the punt and punt return teams.

In 2004, Schneider's punt cover team upped the unit's net punting average to 40.7 yards per kick and led the Pac-10 Conference.

It was just one of the many improvements made by the Bruin special teams. UCLA also led the Conference in punt returns (15.0 average), ranked fourth in kickoff returns and blocked six kicks.

Punter Chris Kluwe was one of three finalists for the 2004 Ray Guy Award given to the nation's best at that position.

Placekicker Justin Medlock, a first-team All-Pac-10 Conference selection and a semifinalist for the 2004 Lou Groza Award, became the first Bruin to kick three field goals of 50 or more yards in one season.

In 2003, Kluwe ranked 26th in the nation in punting and set a school record for punts and punt yardage.

Return man Craig Bragg set a school mark with 38 punt returns for the season.

Schneider coached tight ends and coordinated the special teams at Colorado State in the six seasons prior to coming to UCLA.

The Rams excelled in special teams play. He coached eight all-conference special teams or tight end performers including Dexter Wynn (2002 and 2001), Joey Huber (2001), Pete Rebstock (2000, `01), Jose Ochoa (2000), Deone Horinek (1999), Darran Hall (1997), and Eli Workman (1997).

In 2002, Wynn ranked fifth nationally in punt returns and 12th in kickoff returns.

In 2001, Rebstock and Wynn both ranked among the national leaders in returns while Huber was among the national leaders in punting average. He also ranks among the school's all-time punting leaders.

Colorado State ranked among the national leaders in 2000 and `01 in net punting.

Place kicker Kent Naughton had one of the top field goal percentage marks in 2001 in school history and was the only kicker in the Mountain West Conference to successfully convert every PAT opportunity.

In 1998, place kicker Derek Franz set the school's season scoring record and the record for most field goals in a season. Franz also ranked first in the league and fifth nationally in field goals per game.

In 1999, punter Deone Horinek ranked eighth nationally and second in the league while earning second-team all-conference honors.

Tight end Eli Workman was a first-team All-Western Athletic Conference selection in 1997 and was selected to play in the East-West Shrine All-Star game following the season.

Schneider, spent three seasons (1994-96), as a graduate assistant coach at Colorado State, working with the team's defensive unit and special teams prior to moving to full-time status in 1997.

Brian was a three-year starter and four-year letter winner for the Rams as a linebacker from 1990-93 and is regarded as one of the finest players at his position in Colorado State history.

As a senior in 1993, he was named first-team all-conference and was an honorable mention All-American.

He was a second-team all-league choice in 1992.

Schneider still ranks among the school's career leaders in total tackles.

RECRUITING RESPONSIBILITIES -- Local / California: Inland Empire; National: Las Vegas, NV area, Colorado and safeties.

Of possible candidates mentioned for Kiffen's staff, all seem to have one thing in common, "known as a good recruiter."
