If getting Billy Gonzo means keeping Drayton over picking up Gran, then Gonzo can stay in Florida. It is time for Drayton to take his shenanigans elsewhere.

I'd rather not keep Drayton, but Hubbs does bring up a point. Like it or not, race may play a factor there. As of now, the only coach that isn't caucasian is Drayton. Lake may get the job, but, if Monte was to take over that position instead of hiring a DBs coach, we would have an all white staff. Personally, I don't care about what color the coach is, as long as it is the best staff possible, but it would definitely be something that could be used against us in recruiting.

We got O. We're not getting Blake. Gonzo and Drayton would take WRs and RBs. We'd need a DBs and LBs coach. Seems Monte has a couple guys he wants for that.

I could honestly care less what color our coaches are. If Kiffin keeps Drayton over a guy like Gran because of the color of his skin then he is not as smart as I thought he was. That would be unacceptable.

0% chance that Monte coaches DBs. He has never done it and if he planned on doing so then we wouldn't be interviewing Lake.

I dont know so much about Gonzalez being a reasonable possibility now. On one hand in our favor you have CUM passing him over which has to sting at least a little and the fact that we could offer more money. But against us is the fact that he would be making a lateral move and if he truly does have some play calling ability in FL it would likely be less or non existant here. Add in the fact that he would have to relocate his family. All comes down to the money, IMO. Now that Chaney is in place we should at least get a clue as to who UT has in mind though.

Maybe Brian Schneider is the missing puzzle piece and the Gonzo "bait". Remember, he and Gonzales played together for 3 yrs at C.S. Also, weren't there some other Raiders coaches that CLK was supposedly interested in talking to last weekend in Tampa.

Jackson is at USC now. He pulled a Coach O on us, but this time we were on the wrong end.

Ne word on the contracts and lengths, i think that would be great to put up as well, so we could compare the old ones?
