Potpourri

MIL news.. This morning @ 2:30 am she didn't know who she was, where she was, what her cat was, a total space cadet. I worked with her till 9 am trying to keep her calm and safe since the little Wifey is not home at the present time(last 3days). Finally, she started to come back around and we've had a good afternoon sitting in the sun on our back deck. Sure hope tonight is not a repeat performance.... Me tired!!!!

Local artist here on SC coast, Eddie Bush, has played with some greats like Dave Mathews and Sammy Hagar to name just a few, usually plays with a full rock band but occasionally releases some acoustic stuff like this, he is an amazing guitar player having been given notoriety for that, enjoy More than a feeling

as of yesterday @ 3pm my knuckleheaded stubborn as heck 25 yo son was still 1700 miles from his new job locale. Driving with his gf and a dog in a small Honda hybrid sedan. At this rate, he is gonna be late getting out to Washington. He left here Monday..
. He still doesn't have an apartment agreement signed. Now he wishes he had used a credit card instead of bank draws to pay his bills for living expenses in Charlotte. He has no credit rating record so nobody will talk to him. Should have listened to his mom and the ole Gule, heh! We only told him that since he started college. Stoopid gator grad!!!!!

Just hope he doesn't get snow bound driving thru Montana...

I think that I will go over to the arena on Sunday at 2pm and wear my lucky white hat and some Tn orange and say Hello and congrats to Coach Semeka when they play their next game. Probably will be the only ole white guy there! lol

Well, I went. I saw. I left after the 1st Qt. It was 32 to 5 Winthrop ahead when I couldn't take it anymore. The team they played only had 6 players and none of them looked like they had ever played anything but blind bumper car racing. The pt guard had 4 fouls on herself before the Qt was over, and she was their best player. lol Didn't stick around long enough to say " Hi" to Semeka. Maybe next time.... :(

Lttle Gule news: only son made it out to Camas Wash. late Friday night. Said he was gonna sleep till Monday morning before his 1st day on new Job. Somehow, he lucked into finding an apartment within walking distance of his employer's offices. So, looks like I can quit worrying about the little bugger for a while.. but probably won't. lol

Finally, we have a buyer for our Pensacola house..... after more than a year. Settlement is supposed to happen tomorrow via remote signing. Just have to get a notary to drop by the house and make the signatures all legal... :)

Purchase price is @ what I told little Wifey that we should have asked for in the first place but she had stars in her eyes last year and listened to her realtor. We wasted a lot of time and money getting the house sold. :(

For some unknown reason, I was watching West Side Story, and they had a powerful scene where this guy/cop was scolding them (the gang members) telling them to beat it...My ears perked up and sure enough the song "Beat It" by the late great MJ, was built around that scene.

Well, well, my favorite South Carolina fan, by way of the Lady Vols....I had taken a long break from written communications on the LVs message board...I had even stopped reading it for various reasons, but one quiet night I sort of "checked in" to see what was going on.....

I've been lightly posting for a few weeks now...Had to dust off some of the keys, but they are all working fine now...Sure hope this upscale attack on both ends of the court produces excellent results....

Coach Kim is a breath of fresh air to this long time LV fan....She's like how a man feels when he sees a great lookin woman walking toward him....The heart beats a little faster, the pulse quickens, the pupils of the eyes widen, and most of all, the imagination goes into overdrive...

An oldie, but a real damn good goodie.....

What a great thread!!
It is a great thread! Does anyone remember the 1969 movie “A Walk in the Spring Rain “? A portion of the movie was filmed at UT. I had some friends who were extras. They were in a scene walking to class on the Hill. Come to think of it, that might have been as close as they ever came to actually going to class!

Scene from the original movie "The Blob"

This movie is a lot of fun to watch and has some memorable moments to enjoy....This is the scene as the kids run out of the theater because "The Blob" is trying to get them....There is an extra girl in this scene, that is wearing a red blouse, and gets the hell knocked out of her as she flees with the crowd...The scene is shot from several angles and she accidentally gets ran over and knocked all over the place ....

The Blob was made out of Silicone and red dye....Yes, the same type of silicone that is/was used for breast augmentations...You didn't think I was going to show the other use did you?

Also, the film was the first film for Steve McQueen... His love interest was later the love interest for Andy Griffin on Mayberry...
