Thread title says 1 of 2 today, but the sticky thread for the schedule doesn't have today as a two a day. Did something change?

No. The guy I responded to mentioned that Curt is currently nursing an injury. Maggitt has a current injury, a slight high ankle sprain which kept him out of the Saturday scrimmage. This minor injury has nothing to do with the knee injury he was rehabbing from that caused him to miss the 2013 season. I was referencing what I heard Hyams discuss this morning on a talk show in Nashville.

It was a joke. Meaning that Hyams is sometimes VERY behind on news items he reports

Apparently Jalen Hurd is now coaching as he is too tall to play this sport.

Really sad to see.

TIFWIW. I Lied. IMHO. SIAP

Breaking News..........Hurd to takeover for Bob Kesling. The fear of his height is officially over.......more on the 6:00 o' clock news.

-Today was "Ball disruption Monday"
-As mentioned in another thread, Hurd, Wolf, Moseley and Barnett are the first freshmen to lose their black stripes.
-Maggitt is still nursing some kind of an injury.
-Marlin Lane was in the hole today, along with Jaylen Miller, Quinn and Wiesman.
-Derrell Scott was in green jersey and so is Reeves-Maybin.

Fast Five: Tennessee Vols football Monday morning practice

Most Monday's are not only a disruption but also a pain in the...

I counted one incompletion.

I watched them earlier, but I remember more than that. Watch the video by Hubbs and the one by RTI. The one by Hubbs has some more passes in it. I remember Dobbs throwing over someone's head. And I remember 2 times that Worley hit his receiver in the hands and they dropped it.

VIDEO: Highlights from Tennessee's 10th Practice |RTI

Football Time in TN @FootballTimeMag · 49m
Interesting that Butch plans to name a starter soon. Worley worked with the 1s today but Peterman outplayed him with the 2s.

Here is something that confuses me. All year, all the way back to the spring, to hear the media guys tell it, Worley has taken 80 percent or more of the first team snaps. How can you have a competition when one guy is getting all the reps?

I saw at least 2. One high pass from Dobbs and one blatant drop. But still, it's progress from the other ones.

My Bads, wasnt even thinking about the drops. Far less bad throws though, I thought they all looked pretty good in the videos.

I counted one incompletion.

I think there was more than one, but that wasn't what was concerning. In any case, with no defenders, why should there be any incompletions?

What was concerning was how many of those balls would have been intercepted. Receivers had to either stand and wait for a ball, or they had to turn and reach low to get it. I saw one fantastic pass by Peterman. But mostly I saw a nightmare.

There are most definitely different grades of high ankle sprains ( mild, moderate or severe ).

I posted in another thread but as for Maggitt, high-ankle sprains can be tough to recover from.

There are 3 grades of high-ankle sprains, grade 1 sprain is a stretch to the ligaments, grade 2 sprain is a partial tear of the ligaments and grade 3 sprain is a complete tear. Usually takes 4-6 weeks to fully recover from grade 1 or grade 2 which seems to be likely in his case if in fact it's truly a high-ankle sprain.

Someone doesn't know what a screen pass is.

They all seem to have a problem leading the wrs but Peterman isn't as bad as the others. Dobbs looks bad IMO.

I disagree. Every quarterback, especially Dobbs, looked good throwing those outs to the tight ends and slants to the receivers with the exception of the one overthrow. They were leading them right where they needed to. On the longer down field throws, they aren't as good at leading the receivers, but go back and watch half of Casey Clausen's down field throws and tell me how great he was at leading the receiver. You'll notice that he was pretty average at those throws, but his Era turned out pretty decent.

I'm pulling for both kids or whomever is qb, but Peterman looked good in practice last year as well, which is why he got the start.
Maybe now he is more comfortable and having fun. He had to learn one system as a freshman and an entirely new one last year. I don't know about y'all, but that would cause me some problems, especially with a full class load as a 19 yr old.

I think the reason he got the start had more to do with Worleys lackluster performances.
