Sadly I've heard that things haven't improved, yet. We're still keeping our fingers crossed and our prayers alive for Ash. Thank you so much for the support.

The most recent update I'm seeing is that he will be sedated for a few days, however I'm not sure if that's meaning a medically-induced coma or just heavy sedation.

Thanks for keeping Ash in your thoughts and prayers. I have some news of minor improvement. They have gotten his blood PH very close to what it should be. While they are still keeping him sedated, they are very close to being able to tackle the infection.

That's a huge step, and again, thank you so very much VN.

The medical staff is trying to ween him off the blood pressure medications, but it's going back and forth now. Please keep him in your prayers.

This is as of the last hour, so this sounds like a good step. I feel much more hopeful now than I did a couple days ago, that's for sure.

Ash is improving slightly. He is still on the ventilator but it is being decreased. He still remains on 3 blood pressure medications but they are being titrated/weaned down. Continue to pray! I have had some questions regarding setting up a fund for the family. There is already one in place through their church, First United Methodist of Dandridge. If anyone would like to donate to help this family, you may donate through the church.
