I think everyone one vol nation should send cheek a letter telling him to keep prayer a the footbal game and all UT sporting events this is still America is it not if they don't want to pray then don't but don't tell every one else they can't because it offends them separation of church and state was not intended to be used like it is IT is so the government can not tell you what to worship not for weak mind individuals to tell fellow Americans what they can worship or pray for so as far as I Am concerned freedom from religion foundation can go fly a kite

Pray for an end to run on sentences, the real threat to Americans.

If YOU died today - what would happen to you?

According to the Bible.... It's appointed unto each one of us to die someday and after that the Judgement. If that is true, and it is, then how do you sit with that?

2012 years ago something happened to this world, what was it?

I live my life based on these principles - "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom, Knowledge of the Holy is Understanding." Do you really get it?

Well it's been said "You must be born again," to really get it. Have you been? If not, based on these words, it's possible that you just don't understand, don't have the Wisdom, and really don't get it." The good news is that you can! Please seek more info. Ask around or read the Bible in the book of John 3.

I read one time that Hell was real, real dark, real lonely, and really tormentous. What if it is?

Dying could be like before you were born. Nobody knows for a fact. It's all faith and speculation

The thing is, this is a Christian nation. This country was founded with the belief in God. People are trying to change what this country is about, and people won't stand up for what our grandparents fought for.
America is not a Christian country nor was it founded with the belief in God. America's founders and writers of the Constitution made this very clear.

Your grandparents fought for the propaganda that the US government sold the masses. They bought into the McCarthyism due to their sheer ignorance.

I do find it funny that people often take that line when questioning the existence of a deity. They seem to forget that you have not seen, nor has anyone, how life came into existence. If anyone can give me a LOGICAL explanation as to how that happened then I would gladly listen. The fact is, you can't, nobody can. I agree with you in that it takes faith and you can have faith in anything. Some people will be right about their beliefs and some people will be wrong. The real question is, and what all must answer, "what is the result of being right versus wrong with the belief YOU (not you personally) have?"

Why is it that when gays want to marry, the anti-gay marriage crowd says 'its just a piece of paper. They (the gays) can just be together without getting married.' but when prayer is threatened to be taken out, the same people get up in arms. So I'll ask the same question: why does it need to be public? Can you not do it privately?

I think homosexuality is disgusting, but I don't discriminate against them. It's nt their faults what they like. But it being taught to kindergartners is kinda rediculous. If you are being serious?

You teaching children is scary, and gay people are involved in history whether you approve or not.

I'm halfway afraid to ask, but for curiosity's sake, why is it scary?

Exactly nobody knows. It's all faith and in what make you feel the best about beliefs. People shouldn't be judged for it and all should e respected for what they believe as long as they don't force it on others

I'm only going to say one thing on this board, but this is the one I will respond to. It's not all faith. It's faith based in practice, but my Christianity is not based on something that can't be seen. There was a man on this earth named Jesus who was tortutred and crucified for his message by people who, like yourself, didn't believe he was the son of God. Three days later he rose from the dead and that my friend is where my faith lies. Thank you to my savior Jesus Christ. :bow2:

Just so we are clear, I do believe in God. I agree that everybody deserves respect until they prove that they no longer deserve it. That is an open belief and is unconditional IMO. Therefore I don't judge people if they don't believe in God. I just feel sorry for them and move on. :salute:

Given the topic I was going to attempt to be delicate but it’s so hard when there’s such idiocy and ignorance on this board…

The United States is NOT a Christian nation; it is a secular nation which allows every citizen the right to hold whatever ideology they wish.

And yes religious FREEDOM was a significant reason we came to exist. That freedom means ANY religion or even NO religion.

Why feel sorry for me? If I'm right then there is something to look forward to beyond death. If I'm wrong then I have the same end as you. However, along the way I hope that I have loved my neighbor as I would love myself, left a positive impact on others and raised my daughters with morals to do the same.

I urge you to evaluate your beliefs in the same manner.

I can't make myself believe in something faithfully that doesn't make sense to me. You believe what makes sense to you as do I.
