Premiere League & World Soccer Thread

It’s a premier league only award, so none of that should matter. Even if you did factor in overall play we are talking .69 to .70. So basically neck and neck overall, but again, it’s a PL only award. I also disagree, not just in this case but all MVP awards in most sports, that championships should matter. But that’s a whole other debate. Agreed, they are both awesome though and I do like watching Foden play.
Well, if you take Norwich out, it's pretty even. Are you sure they don't factor the FA and League Cup?

I really want to take a single game parlay, today. Maybe, Benzema/anytime goal scorer, Salah/anytime scorer and over 2.5 goals ? What u all think ?

I do like the over. Every single one of Real Madrids last 5 champions league games have been over 2.5 total.

I would love for Gareth Bale to substitute in late and score the game winner, but I doubt he plays at all

When I first started getting into European football, I wondered if it was beneficial for the Premier League to win the champions league. It probably is, but not matter what I will always root against any of the top 6 besides Arsenal.

I took Benzema to score twice, Mane anytime scorer, over 3.5 goals and Real Madrid to win. $5 to win $305. I know I probably got carried away, but it's worth the risk

That was awesome, he scored another goal and was a sub in that game, too, iIrc

Yeah his second as a bit fluky. Honestly, that Liverpool goalie had an incredibly bad night between the 1st goal that he threw off Benzemas foot and Bales 2nd goal which was right at him and took a really weird bounce off his hands. That game will haunt that guy forever. Alisson came in the next year and dominated and got MOTM in the final.

That first goal was one of the biggest choke jobs in a championship game, in any sport ever. Reminded me of SuperBowl XIII, where Jackie Smith dropped a wide open TD for the Cowboys against the Steelers or Chris Webber calling a TO in the NCAA Championship game and Michigan didn't have any left

Stay classy Liverpool and Madrid fans.

So many fans without tickets jumping the gates and sneaking into the stadium that they’ve now stopped fans with tickets from getting in for the moment and the game is now delayed. Crazy.

Carragher jumping straight to blaming Parisian authorities. 🎶Always the victims, it’s never your fault.🎶

That said, UEFA trying to say one team’s entire fanbase were just late to arrive as if the Eurostar was delayed, or they had the wrong time for kickoff, is also equally ridiculous.

Yikes. Using tear gas and pepper spray on fans and you have to imagine there are kids in the crowd. That’s terrible.

UEFA and the French will need to provide a lot more answers later. It’s inexcusable. For now, they need to figure out how to get people in safely but let the game start too.

Jamie Carrigan is the worst. The most biased analyst there is. The facts will come out later but for him to stand up on TV and act like he has the answers and just blindly assume Liverpool fans did absolutely nothing wrong is ridiculous. There is no way he knows that for sure.

Can 100% confirm from having been in Paris during a week of considerable (mostly peaceful) civil unrest, the French authorities don’t tend to **** around. It is unfortunate for any young kids who have gotten mixed up in this.
