Did Roman Abramovich actually leave? Boehly splashing the cash just like he did. This is a stupid amount of money (120M€) for a guy with only 6 months of European experience, but at the same time, he’s only 21 and going to keep getting better and he is 100% a building block of what Chelsea need in midfield. Declan Rice, Mason Mount and Him in a midfield next season? 🤩

Andddd now the deal is spiraling 😂 good job Todd.

Chelsea is getting hit hard with injuries.
Sterling and Pulisic both had to be subbed off.

Been hit hard all year. With those two injuries that’s now 10 first team players that are out due to injuries, and half of those have been out most of the year. We finished the game playing 2 academy players because we had no one else. It’s really unfortunate. That’s sports though.

On the plus side, we may have lost today but at least we didn’t let Haaland score on us 😅

I know this is going to sound like sour grapes coming from an Everton supporter whose team was bounced from the FA Cup by a disallowed VAR goal, but can we all agree that having it implemented only at PL grounds is beyond stupid? We’ve essentially got a competition where 8 games in this round are being played under one set of rules, and the other 24 under another. Then you’ve got the issue of potential replays where one leg might have VAR but the other doesn’t. I know it’s not possible to have it at the lower league grounds, so just don’t have it at all until the semi-finals at Wembley.

Wrexham is annihilating Championship side Coventry 4-1 right now in FA cup. Coventry also a man down from deliberate hand ball in the box

I watched Fleetwood Town beat QPR. Chose that one because I had never heard of Fleetwood Town. Blackpool beat the hell out of Nottingham Forest.

Does everyone pull for a particular lower division club, and what’s the reason if you do?

It was Kidderminster last year, they had West Ham beat. Gave up an equalizer in extra time and got beat in the 121st minute. Robert Plant was there.

I’m going to be cheering for Wrexham this FA Cup. Ultimate Cinderella if they make it another round or two.

Hope you’re not watching now.
Turned it off at 2-0. Saw they just scored again. As much as I love the FA Cup I’d rather Chelsea get out now. With all of the injuries we have right now we don’t need the extra schedule congestion. This allows us to just focus on whats left of the PL and UCL. Should be getting an important chunk of players back before UCL continues but all 3 of them have had injury setbacks already since their original injury, so I’m not all that confident.

Makes sense.

Chelsea might be in real trouble if their main players are out for significant time. What they have on the field now will cause them to miss out on Europe entirely

Fofana, Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek and Chilwell I think are due back by the end of the month. Kante and James I think are mid/late February. All of those are barring setbacks which isnt a guarantee considering Fofana, James and Kante have all suffered setbacks previously.

James and Chilwell are the ones we need the most. Kante too but we managed the early part of the season okay without him. Biggest issue is this team is built to attack from out wide and both James and Chilwell are important for that, James especially. There is a dramatic drop off when those two are hurt, which has happened too much the last 2 seasons. The offense has just been absolutely painful to watch.

It is what it is. I’m not banking on European nights next year… if it happens, it’ll just be a nice surprise at this point.

Were you at the game? I remember you saying you would be attending a Chelsea/City match while you were there but didn’t know if it was today or earlier in the week.

I was at the City/Everton game. I met up with Bleedorange0037for a few pints before the game. He sat in the away section. That was disappointing for myself and the boys but great for the Everton faithful. The coolest thing was that we all went to the QPR vs Sheffield United game on Monday night. That was a blast in West London. We all think we're fans, but no one is a bigger fan than Bleedorange0037. Because of him, Everton is my second favorite PL side.

That’s awesome! Glad y’all were able to work that out and that y’all had a great time.
