In a normal summer I would be down for sure, would be fun. My wife and I are set to have our 2nd child in March, and I’m leaving her for a couple days almost right after to attend The Masters with my dad, so I think she’d kill me if I scheduled another trip in the summer haha. So I’d have to just wait until the 2nd iteration of the meet up.We should all plan a Volnation futbol get together for the US summer circuit no matter who is playing. Let’s just pick the coolest venue and go.
My sincerest apologies for that.I was at the City/Everton game. I met up with Bleedorange0037for a few pints before the game. He sat in the away section. That was disappointing for myself and the boys but great for the Everton faithful. The coolest thing was that we all went to the QPR vs Sheffield United game on Monday night. That was a blast in West London. We all think we're fans, but no one is a bigger fan than Bleedorange0037. Because of him, Everton is my second favorite PL side.
I’ll probably bring my wife but she won’t go to the game.In a normal summer I would be down for sure, would be fun. I don't know about this "credible threat" against the board. They are claiming that the CEO was assaulted after the Brighton match, which was 11 days ago, yet the story only popped up yesterday (with no CCTV footage accompanying it) in conjunction with their announcement they weren't attending the match. Obviously the supporters are upset with the situation right now, and cynically I want to say that the whole thing sounds like an easy way out of showing up to face the music that their mismanagement has walked one of England's most historically successful clubs to the precipice of extinction.Everton faithful appear to be getting a little restless with the Board. The whole ‘credible threat’ to their security isn't showing a lot of confidence in them.
Abomination. That call changes the league table. The most troubling part is that it was ruled offside on the pitch and was overturned without the lead official even taking a look.Just finally saw the replays from the Manchester Derby. Very surprised the first United goal stood. I’m not sure how you can say that Rashford didn’t impact that play from an offside position. Ederson squared up to Rashford and then Rashford let it go and then Bruno came in and took the shot.
It showed an immense level of soccer IQ from Rashford. He was so close to violating the offside rule like 4 different ways, yet he walked the razors edge perfectly. I agree with @Outofmyvolcanmind that the next goal probably doesn’t happen without this play.Someone has edited Bruno Fernandes' goal with Marcus Rashford removed and it changes everything.

This is the right word. Every time we think VAR has reached rock bottom, they somehow find a way to dig even further down. It was originally sold as being brought in to correct “clear and obvious errors”. From the beginning it’s never been used like that, from splitting the thinnest of hairs with regard to offside, to looking back 30+ seconds in the buildup to disallow a goal for the tiniest infringement. But overruling a decision that the linesman got correct on the field with a clear and obvious error after extensive review is an unfathomable new low.Abomination. That call changes the league table.
