Premiere League & World Soccer Thread

Up two goals, Bissouma shows us all once again that he is a very dumb footballer. Let's see if Spurs hang on.
Glad we got 3 today but he just ruled himself out of the next 4 matches. Very foolish. Compounded one mistake with a much bigger one. The fact that he would’ve been subbed for Hojberg within the next 10 minutes is what makes it even dumber.

Now he gets to join a long list of other important players out until at least 2024. Dropping points to good sides during a long run of fixtures is one thing; sabotaging your own season is something else. I like them as players but Bissouma and Romero have both cost us points with their antics this year. Hopefully it doesn’t continue into 2024. I’m still proud of the team effort though.

I know they have injuries but City is really struggling recently- gained 7 out of last 18 potential points. Doesn’t matter though, they will go on their end of the season run and win the league.. again.

Tom Lockyear collapsed but from what I’ve seen he has since been responsive
Yeah, he was awake and sat up is what I saw. Scary. Apparently this is the second time in 2 seasons this has happened to him? Saw that on Twitter but not sure if true.

Karma for Ederson not being sent off I suppose - el oh el
Why would he have been sent off? When defenders were in area to cover? Plus he didn’t make contact with studs anywhere high in the leg. He just tripped him like most players do when they realize they’re burnt and it’s a yellow card.

Going to be fun once again to get the apology in three days from the league for the “missed-foul”on Bernardo Silva that led to the game tying penalty from Mateta.

I don’t think it’s a done deal by any means. Liverpool and Arsenal (as much as it pains me to say) are real threats if they can stay healthy.

City dropped two more points today. Still a long way to go though. The fact that the rest of the league is so strong this year may actually work in City’s favor.

@Outofmyvolcanmind, what kind of City team should I be expecting to turn up at Goodison next week? How is Pep planning to handle this Club WC? Is he taking it seriously, or using it as a chance to rest the squad and hopefully come back stronger post-Christmas? Will Haaland and/or De Bruyne be back?

Brentford might be low key the dirtiest team in the PL
I didn’t watch the game but 3 points away at Brentford is a good result. Especially when Villa was down a goal with 20 minutes to play and both teams play defense-first, counter-attacking styles (very effectively, I might add).

That was partly tongue in cheek. I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if it happens, again, but it’s far from over.
