Dang. Always liked Timo. Product on the field left a lot to be desired but he was a good dude. You just know he’s going to score a last minute winner at Stamford Bridge because that’s just the way this season has gone. If we’re lucky he will stay true to form though and the winner will be called back for offsides
Would suck. Poch has been adamant he wants him to stay but the sporting directors are looking at the fact that he’s pure profit if they sell. It’d be short sighted, IMO, and we’d regret it in the long run. He’s been our most consistent midfielder this season with Caicedo taking time to integrate and Enzo’s sluggishness to due to his groin. If you sell us Gallagher this window, I think that would be even weirder.
Our reporters are saying the only reason it’s a possibility is because you’re chasing Osimhen and Chelsea needs the Gallagher money to meet FFP requirements if they’re going to pull that off. Not sure how true that is but y’all have spent a lot over the last three windows.Would suck. In regards to FFP it just depends on who you want to believe. No one really knows. National pundits all say “look at what they’ve spent, they need to sell, sell, sell!” But then some reporters that are strictly Chelsea or guys like Matt Law that cover Chelsea/Tottenham only, say immediate sales aren’t really necessary at the moment. Last window, Chelsea actually ended up in the positive with their sales because sales amortization hit the books all at once, buys are spread out over the contract. Our reporters are saying the only reason it’s a possibility is because you’re chasing Osimhen and Chelsea needs the Gallagher money to meet FFP requirements if they’re going to pull that off. I would still be surprised if it happened. A homegrown Chelsea player and part time captain transferring to Tottenham just seems wrong. He’s an excellent player though and would definitely strengthen our midfield.
Oh, I’m with you. I think the deal is very unlikely (Gallagher, not Osimhen). Tottenham and Chelsea just don’t do a lot of business together (for obvious reasons). Which is why I find the persistence of these rumors so odd.In regards to FFP it just depends on who you want to believe. No one really knows. Osimhen apparently really likes Chelsea. He said he followed Chelsea and United the most growing up for PL and he idolized Drogba. He will be a steep ass price though so I can definitely see needing to get more funding for him. Thing is though, it doesn’t necessarily need to be Gallagher. Maatsen, Chalobah, and Hall are all on their way out and are home grown which would be anywhere from 80-100M of pure profit. Gallagher would just be the easiest to sell and the most money of the 4 of them. So he’s talked about the most.
Same thoughts for me with Everton’s cup results. Glad we’re not out of the FA Cup yet, but we didn’t really need a replay later in the month.Always nice to win, but I wouldn’t be upset if Villa had one less competition to worry about

Not especially disappointed at getting knocked out of the League Cup either once it turned out we would have played Liverpool in the semis. Didn’t need two games with them this month. We’ve got several injuries and the team could use a few days to catch their breath after the past six weeks.
Big time if they keep climbing. They are spending quite a bit of money now, think the documentary said something like 2-3M last year, but the higher they go the more profit that comes. Look at Luton Town. They were in non league football about 10 years ago. Idk when they are bought last or what that price was, but I’d have to imagine just the TV contract money alone this season in the PL is more than their last sale price. The value of that club has to have skyrocketed.I wonder what the ROI is going to be for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney for Wrexham. Color me jealous.
I pray for anything but a drawIf Arsenal lose today, could be a blessing in disguise honestly. Less competitions = better for the PL chase. Being in PL, CL, and FA cup when you are a legit contender is tough.
Liverpool winning would also have them still in 4 competitions. That’s a really heavy Jan-Feb and possibly beyond if they keep winning.
