they are last years pac-10 champion in a year where USC started a true freshman and the rest of the pac-10 had corpses as qbs and a year where all their hard games were at home.

And they finished 2nd the yr before. And they were on there way to walking away with another the yr before that when their heisman candidate went down late.

is? Yes they are inferior. Last yr they werent.

So you want to play semantics, eh?

So they lose their starting, underachieving, QB, and thier standout RB. Sound Familiar.

I'll be honest, your supposed knowledge of the future, which you pass off as fact is amazing. Please tell me the Pick 4 for today, I got a hell of a student loan bill coming due soon.

Oregon is a good team whether he people on this board want to admit it or not. Not saying we wont beat em but they are a good team.

They are clearly at least the second best program in the pac 10. A far cry from ole miss who is nowhere near that in the SEC.

VT for the National Championship? Might be a stretch. It runs through the SEC as of 2006. When was the last time an ACC school played in the NC game? (Iirc Miami wasn't in the ACC when they played Ost)

You know that for every SEC team in the NC, there's an OOC team in it, too, right? I said VT might even PLAY for the NC. It's common knowledge that whomever their SEC opponent is will actually WIN the NC.

sweet jesus. once again THEY TIED FOR SECOND PLACE. They only went to the holiday bowl because they have a bigger fanbase than oregon state. as for 2007 almost doing things doesn't mean squat in football. lots of teams have almost won the pac-10 over the years.

VA Tech's 2010 schedule:

Boise State in Landover Maryland
James Madison
East Carolina
@ BC
@ NC State
Central Michigan
WF
Duke
GA Tech
@ NC
@ Miami
VA

A few tough games, but managable for a good team that returns a lot. It wouldn't be far-fetched to see them in the NC.

cal has more wins since tedford has taken over and oregon state isn't far behind. if they win the pac-10this year yes they would be the second best program. but what the hell do you mean by "at least."

Whoops, left off game # 1, which is a real game-changer.

vs. Boise State in Maryland.

Sorry.

If they can beat Boise St., they'll be favored in every other game this year.

wrong again. They beat Oregon state which means they finished second. Im sure oregon state was 1 win away from the rose bowl because they had a bigger fanbase than USC too right? No because they beat USC, which would have given them the pac10 championship.

wrong. outside of the rose bowl that's not the way pac-10 bowls work. if cal had won one more pac-10 game that year (for instance) it would have gone to the holiday bowl because of it's fanbase despite the fact that oregon state beat them. i'm not sure why you think you are some sort of pac-10 expert. how old are you exactly? 14? 15?

we should have been a better team than our record last yr. I dont expect us to lose twice to inferior teams and beat noone better than us

You keep saying this, but I don't understand it. What makes us better than the teams we beat, the fact that we beat them? What makes us better than the teams that beat us?

I am confused.

I asked for clarification, and received none. Maybe you'll be the belle of the ball, and he'll answer you.

and you rate a team on how they play at their best? consistency isn't relavant? and whose to say that bama (as an example) didn't play like crap rather than tenn playing really well?

he also says we're oregon's big test; that if they beat us they're pretty likely to go undefeated.....

I would like to know your reasoning behind this statement. In my opinion, Auburn looked to be slightly better, UCLA about the same. Were we better than both of them in '08 as well?
