They had no receivers and scat backs as the staple of the offense. They didn't have Harvin any longer and had nobody to keep the safeties off Tebow, so they eliminated part of his triple threat. OBTW, they lost their best receiver prior to the season. Everyone that knows football projected the offensive issues.

Preseason projections to be the best were dead freaking wrong, just as yours are here. Pundits are generally idiots. Want some football, talk to some coaches.

florida was not supposed to be one of the best offenses in college football history. it was not even supposed to be as good as the 2008 offense.

florida lost harvin.

florida was supposed to score enough points to win comfortably with tebow, demps, rainey, hernandez and incoming freshman andre dubose as weapons (dubose was injured before the season) considering that florida returned its entire two deep on defense.

the thought was most opponets would be lucky to score 14 on that defense. if florida scored 31, which isn't a spectular total, they would win comfortably.

that was true most of the year.

alabama took florida behind the woodshed, however.

Like who? Riley Cooper? Are you ****ing kidding? They lost the best player on that offense the year before, and it showed.

Perhaps he would enjoy it if Tennessee would sign some midget speed demons with stone hands to start at WR. It's a good thing the coaching staff isn't made up of a bunch of morans.

knowing that he kept all those above average SEC offensive linemen on the bench behind the walkons and underperformers we had masquerading as a line last season.

Where did you get this information. Any team that loses Percy Harvin will not be as good as they were with him. Everyone knows Tebow is a winner but not a great passing QB. Add in the fact that his WR core was not great and he was surrounded by scat backs that are only good in space and your proclamed "best offense ever" just don't add up.

The Gators claim to fame for last season was that they had a defense you couldn't score on and a QB compared mostly to Superman and Chuck Norris. Their defense was as good as advertised and they could only be beatent by the eventual national champs. For the record, most people felt that the NC was decided in the SEC championship game.

I don't think Florida is going to be as good as they usually are. Tebow was a one-in-a-million QB for them and it will take time to adjust.
