IDK those answers but my guess is if there was some kind of blanket designation that illegals weren't subject to US jurisdiction they could have a heyday. Commit any crime and the worst that could happen to them is deportation/expulsion like a diplomat.

Unless you make the stretch to assume the Constitutional jurisdiction of the "US" is only Federal law and things like state laws around those crimes are what they'd be charged with. Realistically it wouldn't be much different than what states like CA (which effectively doesn't actually punish criminals anyway in a lot of ways) are doing now.

At the end of the day I don't think the 14th is as clear cut as we think.

Now, ideally we'd get an amendment to the Constitution to fix this stuff, but it is an issue that needs fixing and I don't think the rules around it are that plain.

Seems significant in that they are a BRICS founder, are under sanction, and we are in a proxy war with them. SA and UAE are even leaning into joining BRICS. Guess the dollar is still only real game in town.
