President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

You should drive down there, stop and talk to the "useless and lazy people" there sometime.

You seem like you could use some actual perspective of what it's like being 'working poor' in the rural South.

I’ve been working poor in the south. Worked my way out of that.

I was yanking your chain.

Interesting though. Wonder if Legos are even a thing anymore.
They’re still a thing, but I wonder how much they’re produced and marketed for kids anymore.

My 8 year old has become interested, so she always wants to look when we’re in Target.

The average set is like $40. Most of them are $70 with many pushing $100 and they’re pretty sophisticated/intricate.

Seems like they’re for adults.

Call it a tax, call it a tariff, no difference. It's just paid more proportionately by persons earning $150k or less.

Just to be clear: inflation does the same thing right?

When the left bans certain cars, limits drilling, etc and causes prices to increase on vehicles and electricity for example, it’s the poorest of Americans who feel that impact the most, right?

I feel like the left only admits this reality, when they can blame the right for it.

The data suggests it’s not that difficult. Why do you think so many “households” earn 25k or less?

To me the answer is obvious

Well obviously, it's because these people (majority in the south) are "useless and lazy" of course.

Saw that at Walmart with my son recently. The Lego sets were all very intricate and around $50. The market was for sure not the 6 year olds anymore, but more of the “Disney Dad” type

You’re moving the goalposts. The question was why 25k or less. The answer is obvious. If you earn more than 22,000 it limits your social security check.

So what’s making people “poor” (by your standard, not mine) in this case is there government check.

If you really wanted to take a deep dive into that map you’d mainly see the heaviest concentration of black Americans (Louisiana and Mississippi) are you calling them lazy? And you’d see Appalachia.

To the Appalachia part I would agree that many are lazy. Meaning that a lot of the people who grew up there and were decent people, moved away for higher paying jobs. Leaving a disproportionate number of elderly, junkies, and lazy people behind.

If only there was a solution for localized poverty...I wish our society could figure out how to relocate. Oh wait, we can!!!

"Just move", such a simple and elegant solution to the problem of systemic poverty.

How have we as a society, not thought of this before now?

I know. Thank you.

Many have. Why others cannot is a head scratcher.

Sure it’s anecdotal but it’s an example of what a person can do if they truly want to.

Had to move and work my azz off but I did it, no reason any other able bodied person can’t do the same.

Edit: didn’t you suggest to Hill that he talk to some southern working poor? If he does I’d hope he listens better than you and doesn’t consider their stories anecdotes.
