so let's take this at face value - inflation was up .6 points from February. 70% of that would be .42 leaving .18 to add to the previous rate of 7.9.

So instead of 8.5% only 8.08% was non-Putin factors.

Thanks Joe!

IOW, inflation still accelerated in March on top of historically high numbers.

The higher producer inflation has not hit consumer inflation yet
we have another 5-7% increase on May 1 for a couple of product lined, just after the same Jan 1

Talked with my uncle who works at a large manufacturer. He said they typically increased prices about every two years to keep up with inflation and it was usually 5% increases. So they could tell clients ahead of time what to expect.

They had a hike last year, one in January, one in March, one coming later this month, and one probably each month after. Each about 5%. They just cant keep up. A

Blaming Putin for inflation is so last week. Now it's Texas' fault.

"Governor Abbott’s unnecessary and redundant inspections of trucks transiting ports of entry between Texas and Mexico are causing significant disruptions to the food and automobile supply chains, delaying manufacturing, impacting jobs, and raising prices for families in Texas and across the country.," Psaki said.

Again you aren’t even smart enough to understand why property rights and trespassing and disorderly conduct and public intoxication laws exist. Because some people can’t be trusted to do the right thing and property and business owners and homeowners and families and working people have to deal with this nutjobs and call the police because they have no other recourse. You hate that people don’t have a right to damage other people’s property just like you hate that businesses can do what they want and that doctors can practice medicine as they like or that Ukraine can join nato if they choose . You are the biggest hypocritical anti freedom person on this board.

And since again much like Russia you refuse to answer the basic question. What recourse or action should the said owner do to this nut instead of call the police to handle it
I understand fully why we have property rights. My argument has always been that the laws should allow property owners to enforce those rights themselves as much as possible and rely less on the govt to enforce their arbitrary rules. It also relieves cops of having to put out so many petty fires and focus on real crimes. Lastly, it is the cops out hetevthat have been screaming about being stretched thin. The simple solution would be to remove some of these responsibilities from them.

I'm only trying to help overworked cops and at the same time empower property owners.

I answered your hypothetical question. I told you that not all of these incidents require police intervention. Each situation is different. But the first line if defense is always going to be the property owner. They do not have the time or the luxury in many of these instances to wait on Tackleberry and Harry Callahan to step on the scene. Nor is it an efficient use of the police to have them out here breaking up petty skirmishes. You want to nail it down to a simple black or white solution when there is a large amount of grey area that requires discernment and proper judgement by law enforcement.

You’re FOS. Police shouldn’t ignore 911 calls of people who need help. How physically do you believe this guy should’ve been removed or dealt with from a gas station attendant

It's a dumb move for Abbott.

If I'm allowed a free hand to enforce my property rights there would be several dead bodies laying by the street.

Now see, this is where I could be just as ridiculous as you would be and throw out some random hypothetical like what if someone calls 911 because Burger King drive thru got their order wrong or some homeowner wants to call the cops because a house guest is chewing gum or wouldn't take off their boots... but your azz would probably justify cops answering each of those calls.

Got to love it when they crank up the propaganda machine to max output and they set up to go after the Warhawk votes . Putin threw our potato head Joe and that little Cuban dictator , Justin from Canada , a life line .
Justin Trudeau owes Putin at least 2.5 blowjibbers for the major solid he did Lord Trudeau

Psaki slams Gov. Abbott over Truck Inspections at Texas-Mexico Border, Blames Him for price increases

Abbott has taken several measures to tighten the border in response to federal policies

The Biden administration is claiming that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott's inspection of trucks entering the U.S. from Mexico is not only "unnecessary," but contributing to inflation throughout the country.

In a statement issued Wednesday morning, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that the delays caused by Abbott's policies were having far-reaching impacts.

Last week, Abbott directed the Texas Department of Public Safety to carry out "enhanced safety inspections" of vehicles that pass through ports of entry, citing "cartels that smuggle illicit contraband and people across our southern border." Abbott is anticipating an uptick in smuggling when the Biden administration ceases expelling migrants via the Title 42 public health order.

Price increases, meanwhile, have been an ongoing problem throughout Biden's presidency, with inflation now reaching a 40-year high. Psaki's statement blaming Abbott for price increases comes a day after a Labor Department report showed that the consumer price index rose 8.5% over the past 12 months.
