President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

My pay is a little less than 20% what our CEO makes.

And that doesn't bother me at all. WE have very different jobs and expectations.

But when he is let go, quits or fired he will be set for life. I will need to find another job.
The last year I worked, the CEO made $70M, it would be a dream come true to make 20% of that.

I'm still waiting on the punchline.

When have we ever been out of baby formula.

Continuing nationwide shortage of baby formula leaves Tennessee families concerned

It is interesting what the article didn't say. Like where is the stuff that goes into the baby formula sourced - within the US or does it come for foreign sources - like unsafe medical products shopped in from China. And there was certainly no mention about what was fed babies before formula took over the market. Seems like that was basically milk from the store boiled/heated in bottles with a bit of Karo syrup. Granted that doesn't work with babies that have special needs; but when the going gets tough, people need to adapt.

Don't speak too soon. This is probably the next AOC idea.

I wonder what Bootijudge and partner are doing about it.

Hogging the market because they don't have the equipment to be mothers? With all the work from home parents and people not working, why the demand for the non natural baby feeding? My wife breastfed our two, and had a pump to fill bottles when not being around was an issue. Seems like a lot of incapable people around suddenly.

That’s a desperate man. He knows he’s done. He knows what’s coming his way in the midterms. And I’m sure he understands his name will be associated with worst president status for generations to come.

I have a feeling the SC has given the dems what they need for the midterms. The dems were completely rudderless, but now they have abortion rights and are saying that the SC decision could clear the path for striking down single sex marriage and other threats to liberal issues. You can probably count on "the SC is out of control and we have to have congressional control to fix it and keep America 'free'."

People can barely afford to fill their cars with gas and momma’s can’t find baby formula.

I think they are effed.

The Democrats got exactly what they wanted.

Biden is just an old man on stage telling the country what they want to hear.

We all know the truth.

If the dems are going to run on abortion and same sex marriage, they should reap about 5% of the population's vote. I'd say go for it.

I’ve been a fan of Plowman, and this has been happening across secondary education for years now. I have always asked where the money is going, as universities don’t seem to have checks and balances to reign in the spending.

The other complaint I’ve had is spending money to be a top research institution. The University of Tennessee is a land grant school for the benefit of its state citizens. I’m ok with allowing more kids in as long as the additional population is from our state. Don’t be taking kids from out of state just to charge extra tuition.

But the spending is a problem, and it needs to be stopped.

It’s mirroring the US government spending iyam. 😐

Even if we understand the words, the problem is deciphering the word salad. I think he starts mumbling on when he forgets some of the rehearsed lines.
What old Joe needs is an Ed McMahon like Johnny Carson had. Maybe he can get cackles to stand beside him and laugh when he makes a funny about stuff like gas prices and baby formula.

They will spin it into other areas that are dear to their base. Many places applaud the SC decision, but don't count on that in the highly liberal areas. There's a lot of red across election maps, but those areas of blue are absolute killers when it comes to reason.

I don't think people will vote based on abortion while inflation is at its worst. Nor do I think the Democrats can keep spreading the lies about marriage and banning of all abortions federally for very long. You're already seeing the pendulum swing on that topic especially when they just voted for no restrictions at all.

More like driven by US government spending.

Education is substantially unaccountable spending. Kids are spending parent's or government's or future-them-via-loan's money, with very little consideration for ROI. When you continue to blindly shove money into something it inflates. Education has been inflating for decades by OPM. Not sure what it's running now, but is was consistently increasing by 6-10% annually while the economy was growing at 3-4%. Makes zero sense, since education is fundamentally information, which is effectively free in 2022. Until the cost of the education is linked to realistic ROI from the education, it will continue, but it is clearly unsustainable in it's current form.

Those issues are way down the list of what people are paying attention to right now. And the "Ultra-MAGA" comments from Biden yesterday has to be the dumbest strategy ever. It was never the agenda that people voted against in 2020, it was Donald Trump the person.

It’s the economy, stupid.

As Ann Coulter said it’s time for “Trumpism” without Trump.

Member how Team Biden and it's supporters here were talking about how much the market was up under him?

On Inauguration Day the Dow was 31157 - currently it is 31653; S&P was 3848 - currently it is 3921. We are perilously close to the market being down under Biden.

Thanks Joe!

My 529s for the kids also. I am going to start putting my usual monthly 529 donations into my savings account. Some financial guru may tell me that is a mistake but it is hard to believe that right now.
