The man campaigned on eliminating the fossil fuel industry. Maybe you weren't one of the typical crowd of 12 at his campaign stops.

Just as the valve cannot be turned up and have an immediate reaction, the valve of turning it off takes time.

It reminds me of Keystone XL in Obama's years. The narrative it would not deliver oil for many years. Those many years have passed. The ole it will not have an immediate impact has been used several times by the Dems over decades now.
