The Department of Homeland Security is reportedly pausing the Disinformation Governance Board three weeks after its creation was challenged by Republicans.

The Washington Post’s Taylor Lorenz reports that the DHS decided to shut down the board on Monday and that its leader Nina Jankowicz had drafted a resignation letter in response to their decision.

The DHS has offered Jankowicz the chance to stay in the department, defending her in a statement to the Washington Post.

You're refusing to acknowledge that teaching any assemblance of beliefs can fall under the umbrella of religion. My stance is very simple and stright forward. Either public academics are neutral or fully inclusive. You can wrap it however you want, but having a crag queen in full regalia reading to young kids in school is OK? But, a priest reading from the bible is not? BS !!! That is teaching one lifestyle over the other and is not neutral by any means.

That's actually a good point about the sexual harassment thing. It's a bit of a pet peeve for me that straight men are apparently held to a different standard than others. We were grilled on sexual harassment, and being woke in the workplace definitely wouldn't pass the test. I can't see why it would or should be any different for schools. If one group of people is told basically to leave their sexuality at home, then it goes for all or there is prejudice.

I know why many in the public look unfavorably toward public education.....50 years of focused and concentrated effort by conservative media to portray public education in the worst possible way. It's had much of the desired impact.

Your attitude is a complete indication of why most not all parents deal with in a public school... self rightous grandiose attitudes that you know best... thats why public schools have lost the faith of the public

The thing about sexual harassment ist that it does haven't to actually involve sexual anything. It can involve a manager behaving towards employees in a fashion that creates a hostile work environment. And if you treat people in such a way that they don't feel they can come to work, and it has been repetitive enough that they can make a case out ofit, then you got a law suit. And you will always have a harassment case on your record cause it's all lumped together with sexual harassment under one umbrella.
