President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

Cocktail napkin math follows: I am guessing that if you could find the seedlings, you'd have to subtract probably 25% of that $10B for admin and labor to plant them (seems like a good project for 'homeless' that will 'work for food')... so say $750M for trees at $1-$2 each (I found some for sale in bulk, but probably couldn't get anywhere near the amount needed/required)... giving them (recommended from gardenguides.com) approx 180 sq feet each would require about 3 million acres or about 4600 square miles... Seems like significant bank for the buck. Of course you have to have the land for that...
The United States has land.

Would you be willing to say that about the Pentagon?

Of course, it's turned into a huge bureaucracy like all the rest of DC. The scope may be simpler and more important than most of the others, but the organization is as bloated and inefficient as the rest. I disagree with where you are going though; the Pentagon doesn't send people off to wars - we still have the civilian component that decides the when and where. That doesn't absolve the Pentagon from it's habit of making things extraordinarily complex, inefficient, and expensive which is no different from the other DC bureaucracies. And the Pentagon doesn't do it on it's own - congress still controls the spending, new weapons systems, and even officer promotions among other things.

BTW there was some real irony in the recent little "save the Ukraine bill". Something about money included for increased military pay as I recall. The military is semi fixed as far as size, there's no overtime, so you have to ask how supporting Ukraine could increase what's allocated to military pay. I suppose you could stretch it to include the cost of remote subsistence and using national guard assets, but those should be covered elsewhere.

False hope. Nobody will ever go to jail. Durham and whatever special prosecutor the libtards come up with when we finally get rid of them will just milk the system for several years and then go back to private practice. Oh I am sure some low level nobodies might get sent up for a few years, but nobody of any real stature will. Does anybody really thing that Hillary or Puddinhead will face any jail time? Seriously?

The government can't generally afford to convict anyone at high levels. That would shine a light on corruption - like how these people got there in the first place, and the swamp knows that once someone starts digging there's a good chance they'll find the whole place is rotten to the core. The best you'll get as you say are the sacrificial nobodies ... and every now and then an unpopular elected official or a misplaced outsider like Trump.

If the government is somehow involved, you'd have to add in the environmental impact statement, regulatory approval, maybe federal land leases, ... Imagine then the environmental people running wild and factoring in the damage that forest fires in the new "plant a tree" movement. It might still be cheaper to have denuded land and big carbon suckers built at prices the DOD could envy.

Don’t forget the kickbacks for the politicians involved. That can be huge lol!

Yeah, these corrupt actors may cheat man’s laws but they won’t do that with God come judgment day.

The only Hispanic people I know that like him are second-gen below the age of 25. All the others absolutely hate him with more passion than even the staunchest right wing folks. I'm not sure what the explanation is but it is incredible to see.

I think the heavy dose of racial profiling that democrats do is infuriating them. The democrat party projects low standards on other cultures, and it pisses off more people than they realize. All hispanics don't like illegal immigration especially those that went through the legal process. It wears on their communities too.

Hispanics generally aren’t big supporters of abortion either.

Many hispanic immigrants also detest the socialist policies the Democrats are pushing because they’ve experienced such policies in their home countries and know they lead to economic collapse.

I’ve often wondered - how many trees could we plant with say $10B dollars?

And what kind of impact would/could that generate?
And has there been studies on what plants/trees produce the most O2, and provide the most “cooling” you know to battle global warming….

I think a more appropriate overlay would be who controlled Congress and when.
Yes. Of course. There are presidents who push borrowing and spending. There are Congressmen who do the same. The record is abysmal for almost all iterations of president and Congress...including Trump's.
