I am no tax expert and neither are you. If you want to get into some convoluted "semantics" of IRS code go ahead. If one wants to let some bureaucratic agency decide which is which by some org beancounter, go right ahead and hang a big DC IRS banner as you bury your libertarian card.

It's written rules, not semantics. I've supported nothing and am simply posting facts. If it were up to me the church would pay the same as any other Corp

Lets get one thing straight..Any church I have attended has not said "Go vote for X".
Who here can decide between religious beliefs or morality and gov policy? Who can set that line?

And your preacher should absolutely be able/allowed to give his/her opinion on who they think you should vote for from the pulpit. They’re supposed to be the spiritual leader of their congregation.

Agreed. Does it happen in some churches? I am sure it does but I have never heard it. It reeks of “I had a bad experience so I lump them all into the same boat” and let’s burn the whole thing down opinion

Slice...I mentioned that anecdote in Houston. I was there and being in congregation that Sunday morning and listening, it was not America and surreal.
It became political because the pols made it political issue rather than a religious view.

I think this belongs here because of our worthless liberal in charge. So I just got off the phone with one of my best friends of 40 years. He was in Chicago for a conference. He is a physician that does speaking engagements around the country. He was staying at un upscale hotel in Chicago and wanted to go out to dinner. Restaurant was only 3 blocks away so he thought walking there wouldn’t be a problem. Oops.

He gets jumped by 3 black gang members. They beat him pretty bad. Luckily some people saw it and saved him. Here is where the progressive Chicago really drops the ball. They caught one of the guys who beat him up. The guy didn’t deny it. He admitted to it. He also admitted to several other robberies that night as well as a murder of a child. So the cop told my friend if he wanted to testify remotely he could but in all honesty it would be a waste of time. The cop said nothing will happen to the guy. He said one he is black, and because of Lightfoit, the police are powerless.

The cop told my friend that what happened to him was essentially mild to what happens multiple times a day, every single day in Chicago. Defund the police? Gun free zones? Progressive liberal policies? Everything liberals touch turns to ****.

We should invest heavily into such machines. Imagine a machine that is easy to produce in quantity, takes in carbon dioxide, and releases oxygen in a chemical reaction. Let’s call that reaction… photosynthesis. And we can make it use solar power!

We should see if such a machine is readily viable.

Yes, but they would have to be manmade, EPA approved, and then disguised as trees. Oh, and cost at least $5K each for the little ones (real little ones). $500K for nice oak sizes. You can't afford it so don't ask about ones adorned with flowers. Maybe we should discuss the places trees might grow but are covered in corn for gasoline, big light reflectors that produce electricity in the day, and windmills (or bird shredders).
