Their hearts and motivation are in the right place. They see pain and suffering in the world and truly wish to remedy that. Unfortunately they make the mistake of thinking that Government is somehow capable of creating a paradise if only a few more laws are passed. Conservatives recognize that mankind is a fallen creature and that government can function best by allowing maximum individual Liberty in which self interest at least can be used as a tool for good (see Adam Smith). Liberals pretend that government is somehow above self interest and corruption. They believe mankind is capable of perfection and that by replacing selfish moneyed capitalists with mythical selfless government bureaucrats they can right every wrong. It is a pipe dream, doomed to failure and disillusionment wherever it is taken to its logical conclusion in extreme socialism.
The world is a sad and brutal place. But politicians are sad and broken people just like capitalist fat cats or selfish conservatives. Mankind does not have a political problem. Mankind does not have an economic problem. Mankind has a sin problem and the best thing government can do is put up guardrails in the form of civil society and give us maximum individual Liberty to seek our own personal salvation and redemption

There are some people in this country who seem like lost causes. Other countries are collapsing using their worldview. This country is in almost a free fall. Still they cling to their hope of one perfect world because they are ideologues. When your dealing with ideologues it is not about black or white, men or women, straight or gay, it is about power and control no matter how twisted an idea of their noble cause that causes society to flounder. The bad guys/countries (China, Iran) will give it the middle finger while convincing the gullible (Western elitists) that they are all in. Meanwhile America becomes a part of the pack and weakened from within.

Anyone with knowledge of economics knows we are where we are because of printing too much with issues with supply.

We are still printing stupid money with the assistance to Ukraine. The current policies are contradictory. Hence worse inflation.

Sure it helps.
If people vote for the more moderate, then politicians are incentivized to be more moderate.
If people vote the extremes, then politicians are incentivized to more extreme.

Except we have primaries where everyone rushes to the extremes. Biden was going to pay off student loan, go after the oil companies, and take away guns. Not originally his stance but he fell to it pretty quick in the primaries. He also appointed someone on their skin color and gender alone, which none of the others were woke enough to do.

This is why we need open primaries. Everyone primaries against everyone. The highest two still go to the general election. So if it's two Rs two Ds or two others, so be it. But that way everyone has to be upfront, and the parties arent guarenteed a shoe in for a terrible candidate for a third of the nation to hold their nose on.

I don’t support invoking the 25th to get rid of this clown. This could easily be abused further down the road by either party. With that said, Democrats have to run someone else in 2024 if they want a chance at winning.

Also, if Republicans nominate Trump, 2024 will be much closer than it needed to be. DeSantis should be the Republican frontrunner. He ain’t perfect but he seems to be the most promising out of anyone I’ve seen so far.
