Agreed, but I think Hillary's ship has sailed. Even her own party realizes how toxic she is. They'll go young to try and keep the under 40 voters for the midterms and beyond.

I do believe that the Dem machine now realizes...and the signs are already there in both the liberal media and Biden's own cabinet...that time is about to run out on him. All they care about is the midterms right now. So they'll find a graceful way for Joe to exit stage left; make sure Kamala is kept in check; and work towards keeping the House in '22.

Is it still a "coup" when one party replaces its' own choice?

The next three years are going to be a defining moment not just in American politics, but in the very future of this nation.

Sad thing is they didn't even understand the enemy they have been fighting. The peasants with a 7th century mindset only understand two things: Money, and fear. They don't care about dying on the battlefield. They will just keep coming back, over and over. The only way to keep a victory over morons like this is to make them fear you forever. You have to make them afraid that their families and interests will be targeted if they are involved with an organisation like the Taliban. Constant fear by them is the only way to make them truly yield.

They didn't realize (or care) how toxic Kamala was...

Here's the thing. Hillary still has a lot of support in that party and most of all, has the money to back her up. If she wants that VP position, she'll get it.

According to Pentagon officials, their initial analysis at one location in Ghazni province showed the potential for lithium deposits as large as those of Bolivia, which has the world’s largest known lithium reserves. The USGS estimates the Khanneshin deposits in Helmand province will yield 1.1.-1.4 million metric tons of REEs. Some reports estimate Afghanistan REE resources are among the largest on earth.

There’s no joy in watching any of that. That could be any of us someday. It’s not Joe Biden’s fault he can’t think clearly. It’s an indictment of the people around him.

In the months before last November’s election, Biden’s own family knew perfectly well that he was in profound cognitive decline. They were worried about it. They told other people they were worried about it, which is how we know. But they did nothing to stop Biden from running for president. Neither did Ron Klain, who is now the White House chief of staff. Klain is highly familiar with Joe Biden’s senility. He works there every day. So do Mike Donilon and Gene Sperling and Susan Rice, and the rest of the people making the decisions in this country, very much including Barack Obama. They all know. These are hard, cynical, clear-eyed people. They’ve worked with Joe Biden for many years. Not one of them has any doubt he is failing. Now it’s obvious to the rest of the country.

Congress has to approve the pick. Unless they somehow make it a straight up majority, it won't happen. Dems have to pick a true moderate that the GOP likes or a republican they think they can control. However it goes, the approval process should be fun.

It is a straight up majority in each chamber but there’s no tie breaker in the Senate I think when I looked it up. But I’d expect one of Sasse, Romney, Murkowski, or Collins to break ranks.
