California, New York and Oregon are NOT good states. Colorado I'll give a pass. Another example of a good state is Arizona, which has temporarily gone off the rails politically but still has promise.

Politicians are elected by the citizens.

There is a reason some states get totalitarianism and some states allow choice. It’s because the citizens elected a certain type and did it again and again and again.

I agree all politicians suck but a politician understands their voters. They pass laws based on what will get them re-elected.

And it’s not so much the people that are in those states. It’s the types of governments that they tend to elect. Now I’m going to deviate a touch and talk about more local levels of government. I think you’d be challenged to find a city run by Republicans that has been looted or burned severely. We were talking about the Rittenhouse thing earlier and none of that probably would have happened had the authorities kept people from burning and pillaging
