President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

China's largest property developer is about to default. They're a paper tiger trying to bring us all down with them.

I think we are in for a lot of short term pain. If the dims don't steal 2022, hopefully we can start pulling back or at least near-shoring manufacturing and crush China out of relevance for good.

You all are talking a lot about auto manufacturing. We're getting crushed with medical supply shortages where I am. No news coverage because everyone is trying to bury it.

I though they already defaulted on a huge bond payment they had due?

Joe said Satchel Paige was “the great negro”. Wtf how is that not racist?
The big question is what is his hangup on Satchel Paige?

He started talking about him when he was meeting with the Pope and the Pope looked at Joe like he's a few fries short of a happy meal.

In his mind is Satchel Paige still playing?🤔

Pension - as in defined benefit pension plan? Those things still exist in the wild outside of government work?

yes but I'm technically in government work - state university.

in addition to the pension we get a 5% 403b(401k) match.

like I said, stupidly generous. I can almost live on my pension alone not touching my retirement funds or social security.

God bless the tax payers of Alabama...

Markos Moulitsas is the founder of the Progressive Left blog DailyKos. He also cofounded SB Nation before selling it to Vox Media. A few years ago he put together a polling division for his Kos Media empire and hired a scientist from Emory University as the director. From what I can tell their polling approach is essentially the same as what the LA Times used in forecasting a Trump win in 2016.

Anyway, so these numbers come from the left and are updated daily. I’ll link the website at the bottom but I went through the features to get an idea of Biden’s favorability with different demographic groups. The number presented is favorability minus unfavorability or net favorability. Negative numbers would be where he is underwater.

The site also has net favorability by state and you can look at different demographic groups within a state. It’s a pretty cool site I think. The only thing it doesn’t publish is the size of the various demographic groups so one has to find that elsewhere. While it’s not that accurate you can operate with the rough assumption that the national electorate is divided into thirds, Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. Obviously it varies significantly by state.

Partisans are as expected in their love/hate for Biden but Independents which Biden reportedly won in 2020 have switched sides and I think it began with Afghanistan. Also a lot of young Democrats seem less enthusiastic that their older party members in their view of the guy at the top.

Something to keep in mind is people have a difficult time with the Hispanic demographic because according to Pew research almost half of so-called Hispanics reportedly self-identify as white and increasing numbers have reportedly taken to identifying as other in regards to race.

For what it’s worth these charts will show a snapshot of what different groups think of Biden as of right now. The data date is November 10, 2021.

Am I reading this correctly that we are a very polarized country? There are very few small numbers, either red or black, in any demographic which would mean a demographic would be balanced or Ehh....

I can't believe he hasn't had "Articles of Impeachment" brought up against him yet...
Everything he's done has turned things upside down in the way he wants to run the country.
Even his VP is worse than he is. We are screwed big time as a country.
I think his own party realizes they have to get rid of Kamela first, then 25th amendment him.

Nice. Just imagine what Nick Saban's pension and 401(k) plan look like.

DEL RIO, Texas — According to a source within Customs and Border Protection, migrants from Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India were arrested Wednesday. Border Patrol agents encountered them after crossing the Rio Grande as they tried to elude apprehension in dense brush.

Four identified themselves as citizens of Afghanistan, two from India, and one from Pakistan. As the day unfolded, five more significant interest migrants were apprehended, raising the number of migrants from significant interest countries to 12 in a single day—including four Syrians.

Then you end up with President Pelosi (insert puke emoji here) unless you've already received Senate approval on a VP replacement (and I'm sure that will be a fun process).
I think the senate will find someone they can all get behind before Kamela either resigns or is forced out.

I see no reason that even the most liberal of Republicans should help the Democrats out in approving a new liberal VP, and Kamala wouldn't be able to cast the tiebreaking vote because she'll be history. If I were a Republican senator, I would insist that the new VP be a conservative Republican.

I'm afraid this gives the left far too little credit. Dems have fixed elections for decades ... they know a thing or two because they've seen and done a thing or two. Remember they came up with a plan that allowed even the dead to vote without showing up to fog a mirror. Besides, a huge stock of votes is in the greatest metropolitan areas, and the dems own that space.

Riddle me this - why reference Satchel Paige as a "Negro-League" baseball player at all? Why not just refer to him as former great Major League Baseball Player, Satchel Paige?

I just googled "Biden reference to Satchell Paige", to see the entire context of this statement. It is apparently a story that he has used repeatedly this year, including a reference in February 2021 and a reference to the Pope on the trip he just finished. In none of those stories did he reference the Negro League. That makes sense because that reference has absolutely nothing to do with the story.

Reparation fodder - like the proposal for a GI Bill for descendants of black WW2 vets - the Negro League wasn't the BIG League - all that wealth that never passed down, you know.
