I've been very bitter about his hire, but he is starting to do what Tennessee coaches are supposed to do: put together a monster class. It won't mean a thing if we can't win 7 games this fall, but I am willing to suspend disbelief for awhile. Dillon Bates, Dominique Booth, Josh Malone, come on down. Well done Butch Jones! GBO!

This monster class won"t be here this next year, but it is obvious that this staff is convincing recruits. We shall see if Butch can coach this Fall, because we sure lost some playmakers on offense. Go Vols and go CBJ.

"Coach (Butch) Jones is a real genuine guy. I just love him. I met his family when I went down there and they are great. He feels that I fit in perfectly as a running back, and that I'm a game changer for the program. With the new staff, and where they are headed, it's the place for me. I'm going to do everything I can to help get the program going again,"
J hurd said this and I just love this he had his family meet the recruits that is just making such a family environment around the team that we havent had in years...

I like that he does it without getting all sappy like Urban Meyer! That stuff buggs me for some reason!

Yeah, I get a little suspicious of people talking about "family atmosphere", "it's all for the children", "he's for the little guy" and all such manipulative BS phrases. I believe the difference with CBJ is that he and his family are actually involved and not just blathering about it. Could be wrong, but the people talking about it are the prospects and players and not CBJ himself.

Glad the stars lined up for CBJ to come to UT. Hard to imagine anyone else hitting the ground running like Jones has.

I don't want to diminish Butch's accomplishments to date but there are plenty of great hires that would have done the same. Good for Butch though on getting recruiting on the right path early on.
