Pruitt’s signing class grade

If we were talking about just the early period I would say 88. Came in with very little time. Was able keep everyone on board that we wanted, got Altonae Taylor back which was good. That gets him a 70. Landing Carvin and Banks gets him up to a 80. Getting a good QB prospect and the #1 Juco TE gets the grade just below an A. We were lacking a big surprise to keep us from an A.

Looking forward to see what we can do in February.

Signing was more or less today. Not sure about this flip and flopping, 65-75% of the team classes will be set by the end of the day.

You keep saying the same thing. We get what you are saying. If you are correct then that means there will be up to 35% still on the table. That is a lot of talent! Take your opinion to the LSU board and see what they think!

JP is a worker. We'll be in better shape soon. Biggest problem is that UGA is certainly getting better and better while UF has an upgrade in coaching. We could be much better and still not win the East in a few years.

I give it a C. Kind of just meh. I know he had to salvage it but I’m not so sure he is all in yet since he is still worried about playoffs coming up. This elite recruiting staff not looking so elite
if you put everything in context there is no way, at this point, to grade him less than A-

From just yesterday people saying he was struggling and him hitting hard on the guy he just brought into UT offers in the past week. He has plenty of time to finish the story and improve or not, but for now, he has pulled of a christmas miracle.

A strong B+ leaving a little for the finish in Feb NSD.:)if you think about it the only recruit that we really wanted was Cade and Cade made his mind up month's ago he wasn't coming here moma wanted him out of town, so he was going no matter who is coach, i bet he doesnt see the field till his junior year so if your thinking next level be hard to show your talent sitting on the bench and by the way we are not talking about losing a player with talent like Smith.

They got some players. Says something. I'm not so concerned with whether this staff can recruit. I'm more concerned with how they're going to outrecuit Bama, UGA and UF going forward. We are moving to simplified football schemes which means that the jimmys and joes are going to be all the more important. Next year we will literally be trying to win a gunfight with a dull knife. The following year we may have a single shot, then a double barrel, etc. If we can begin matching UF, UGA and Bama in recruiting starting with the 2019 class, we should be competitive by 2023 if our staff develops the talent and manages gameday properly. Think about that. 2023 before we really even have a shot at relevance again.

I’m sorry but it doesn’t work like that. Coaches that are going to be great show massive improvements in year 2. If top recruits don’t see those massive improvements then they won’t waste their time going to that school. Jones was a good enough salesman and convinced the kids UT was such a dumpster fire his 1st year that his recruiting didn’t start to slide until his 4th class. Look at it this way, if UGA didn’t win the SEC and make the playoffs then they wouldn’t be top 3 in recruiting now. CJP has to win at least 7 games this year and 9 next year or his 2020 recruiting class won’t crack the top 15

We aren’t grading on a curve here. The majority of the teams we play are out recruiting us, including Vandy. They won’t sit their higher ranked players during the game so we all have the same star ranked players on the field.

Considering Currie turned a simple coaching search into a whole fiasco that made the school look unstable to the core I think CJP did the best he could. He has a worse start than Lyle and will have to prove things on the field before he can start pulling in top 10 classes because of the clown show that was the coaching search.

We will just have to accept that we will barely break the top 25 with this class and hope he can show enough positives ont he field to get a top 5 class next year.

Man has been on the job for two weeks and he's filled about half the class and you're posting this BS? WTH do you expect in two weeks time? No one can be this stupid. You're joking, right?

B+ with all things considered. If we had landed Traore, would have given it an A.
