Grading Criteria, do you have:
Players with the raw capability to play the position the way you want it played?
Players you can coach?
Players who want to be here?

I think, considering the combination of decommits and commits, they have that.

Good foundation. Who is the strength and conditioning coach?

How would you fair if you had to work 2 full time jobs and be 100% committed to both? I think he did just fine cleaning up the mess. The only guy we can point to that we are unanimously disappointed about is Cade Mayes but we all know now he didn’t bleed orange anyways so we can move on from that. Plus round 2 will be here in February. Plenty of time to get more guys.

I'll stand by my post. He took his position, I took mine. I assume he is a man of faith, as am I. His opinion, and IMO his position, on the efforts of this staff to this point, are judgmental. I could be wrong, and if I am I will own it.

All I ask is that he do the same.

After what a mess we have had the last few weeks, how could anybody not be somewhat excited to the start of this recruiting class. All I can say is

Solid B, but I think it’s appropriate to grade on a scale in this case. All things considered I give it an A to A+.

Dude, try to pay scant attention to what’s actually going on rather than just blindly criticizing JP. He’s been here for 13 days and is already doing great things with this class.

I know you have your narrative, but here are just a few facts from today, an outstanding day for JP and the 2018 recruiting class...

-Pruitt be closing ... Banks, Shrout, Wood-Anderson and Allen all on Rocky Top for the first time this weekend and all four signed with Tennessee today - Jesse Simonton

-A few of Tennessee’s rivals had outstanding days, but what Jeremy Pruitt did in less than 2 weeks deserves real kudos. Kept 4-stars Taylor, Carvin and Banks in-state, flipped a high-upside QB and beat out Alabama for No. 1 JUCO TE.

-We began today ranked 56 or so nationally...after adding Harris, Banks, Carvin, Allen, Shrout and Wood-Anderson, we now sit at 26th nationally on 247.

-JP is bringing in quality over quantity....and he’s in with more highly rated players, several of which he’ll no doubt sign in February.

dang good start no matter how you slice it...big late gets...I gave a incomplete earlier in this thread, but at the end of the day, I'll say gotta give an A (on this cycle) of recruiting...very pleasantly surprised...:thumbsup:

PS. still have AT out there...could get better...:salute:

I think everyone is all in with Pruitt so we're willing to call a C- an A+ due to the circumstances. He absolutely has done a good job if you expected to do terribly, but I think it's also fair to say we hope to crack the top five or ten a time or two in the next few years. So far so good but 8th in SEC ain't gonna cut it next year.

In one week he got:

Banks over Scott Frost, Chip Kelly, etc

Carvin who was leaning toward Miss St

#1 juco TE being compared to OJ Howard and Kelce over Bama.

#2 Juco DE/#9 overall JUCo over Gary Pattterson, Dantonio, Narduzzi, etc

A QB that in a camp with fields and some of the top QBs from next 2 classes that he was the guy NFL scouts were drooling over.

Kept Taylor from even visiting UGA where we clearly see they were getting anyone they want.

Has us #1 for the top LB. And in top 3 for two top 40 players in Griffin and Stuart that weren't even talking TN before

He went toe-to-toe with the best of the best for the #1 Juco TE in the nation, and won! I would venture to say we have a top 15 class easily when it's all said and done! That's saying something, considering what we've been through this off-cycle.
