I see no way Tennessee can do better than 3-9. That’s if somehow they could beat UAB and Vandy (the obvious two least left of schedule).......I’m with OP, very well may be 1-11.

We will beat UAB and 1 of UK/Vandy.

I see 3-9 as the most likely.

And of course, Slingblade reminds us that the sun will come out tomorrow. He isn't going ANYWHERE until 2021 at the earliest.

Buckle up, lads, this is gonna be a long bumpy ride.

You look at teams like Vandy- they scored 17 against LSU in the first half, way before things for completely out of hand and backups came in.

No way we play with Vandy this year. Mizzou will blow ourndoors off the way our secondary has regressed. There's not a winnable conference game left and UAB will probably be a tough game.

You can't tell me Ga St, UAB and Vandy have the talent that we do.

Vandy put up 38 points on LSU today. Do you really think that a JG-led offense is going to put up more than 21 points in regulation?

that was on second and third string........but it was LSU. Vandy might destroy Tennessee.

No one over there on the Hill cares anymore. 12-0 or 0-12. Doesn’t matter to those a$$holes as long as they’re making that money.

If you like what you’ve seen keep showing up, watching the games, buying gear, etc. If not then don’t.

It appears Pruitt is going achieve the worst win/loss single season record in UT history. As much as I want to move on from Pruitt, I fear the powers to be will keep him for another season, at a minimum.

IF he's fired before February 2020, he's owed $9.12 million

2021 - $6.8 million
2022 - $4.56 million
2023 - $2.28 million
2024 - contract expires

Pruitt gets this year and next, almost no matter what.

That being said, brace yourself for 3-9 or 4-8. I don't see how this team beats any other SEC team other than maybe...maybe UK and Vandy. I'm holding my nose and counting UAB as a win, so I can see 3-9. or maybe 4-8. At this point, 5-7 is a good rebound from where we are right now. And probably out of reach.

I can also see 2-10. Doubt it goes that bad, but still...

But a losing record next year, IMO, would be the end of the Pruitt era. He is officially on the hot seat now.

I have no idea. He came with a great pedigree and resume', which none of our other bad choices really had. But if Pruitt doesn't pan out, it's going to be awfully hard to find a proven coach willing to come to Knoxville and step into the World's Largest Dumpster Fire.

So let's hope he gets it figured out, and soon. FWIW, I think it's time to put JG on the bench to stay, and roll with the youngsters at QB. Pruitt is coaching for his job now, and JG...bless his heart...is the football equivalent of a bad hill to die on. It is what it is. Besides, how much worse can it get? Best to roll with Maurer or Shrout. If nothing else, you're showing HB that the job is his if he can come in and have a strong spring and fall camp.

You’re right. It shouldn’t be. But sadly, it has been for awhile, which is why we are where we are.

Furthermore, if they’re so “embarrassed,” firing the coach does nothing. Pony up to hire Bob Stoops if you’re so damn embarrassed. Don’t just fire the coach this time...have a sure fire home run replacement lined up.

But, what happens to Fulmer?

Pay Urban Myer whatever it takes if he’s willing to face Saban every season.

Pruitt is not going to be fired this year unless there's an outright revolt among the players. Frankly, I don't think he's at risk next year either. Now after that he'd better be showing some nice progress and making some bowls.

He ran away from Florida because he wasn’t willing to face Saban. He is never, ever going to entertain an offer here.
