Fulmer really doesn't have a choice...sure he can fire him after 2 seasons but he looks more like a failure than CJP if he does.

What's more, is that many believe Fulmer can ride in on a donkey and coach the football team with Pruitt's staff and turn this mess around? More turnover in staff and players. He isn't going to fire anybody because he is the AD. In this day and age you are an AD or a Coach, but not both. Recruiting will suffer... because of the unstable enviroment created....This just ain't happening.

Fulmer firing CPJ at season's end...No....we probably can afford another buyout... We will have to buyout our new coach contract.

Really is that there will be zero top Tier coaches to blaze the trail to get her.

I hate to tell some of you this... 100% sure that Fulmer knows the exact state of the Program and Pruitt does also. They probably discussed the timeline as to when Tennessee could put a competitive team on the field.

The realistic answer was beyond Season 2 and maybe beyond Season 3.

Another coaching change would only hit another reset button and we would return to ground zero and restart the process.

This is all about $$$, times have changed with Tax Laws.

There's precedent in the SEC to fire a coach who loses to a team like Georgia State. Arkansas fired Jack Crowe the day after they lost to Citadel. You lay that kind of leg in the opener, crashing the entire season, costing the school millions of dollars, you deserve to be fired. You've earned it at that point.

Why can't Tennessee get a mean and hungry coach. I thought Pruitt was the man but he needs to just say we suck. Jarrett is an awful QB and Pruitt was defensive coordinator for Saben. Damn, I am ashamed every year living in Florida. 2 int already against the gators with 10 min left in the half. Jarrett sucks as QB, pull him out and at least try to win.

This is a terrible team that has a head coach that shouldn't be over any program. I look at the number of negative plays, time after time, and I am embarrassed.

I Tuned in-I guess in your mind (based on your previous posts) we had another huge improvement, in my mind we found another way to post our third "L" for the season, no improvement noted.
