QB competition..

Peterman?

overheard worley talking to peterman in the cafeteria about what he looked for in joining a program. Worley went on to say that he came here because he believed he could play here I'm not sure if hes going to leave but im sure hes thinking about it.

fwiw.

Peterman just about has to be considering it. Put yourself in his shoes. He was probably 4th coming out of Spring Ball and still trying to live down the UF game.

I like him but he probably needs a new start.

Exactly 18...plus chances are, is that we land another QB this recruiting cycle(Gentry).

What about Dobbs or Ferguson. They're younger so they'd be more motivated in not wanting to ride the bench.

Could it be that to a degree CBJ values seniority over youthful skill?

No. With the fanbase already grumbling with discontent, CBJ is going with the QB most likely to win games. Which in turns quietens the grumbling. At this point it looks like Worley is the safest bet. He'd best produce because the Dobb Goblin's coming.

In the distance is the sound of sinister laughter.
Birds grow silent. Forest critters scurry into holes.
The fish flee to the river's bottom and burrow into the mud.
The wind blows softly and carries a whisper.
It says, "I'm coming. I'm coming. I'm coming."

Here I thought all the Fergonites had scurried back into their basements after the O&W game.

Hopefully for you, you guys will get your wish and he'll decide to transfer prior to the summer semester, ensuring that he never takes a snap in Neyland Stadium. Worley 1, Dobbs 2, Peterman 3. Better??

Fortunately, this is not Dancing With the Stars, where things are decided by the fans texting in their votes for who they like. I really don't think the competition is settled now, and it will be advanced but not totally settled even by late August. More than one QB will play in the first game for sure, and probably the second game also. Errrbody chill.

I've never wished for that and if it happens it'll be because Ferguson never stepped up. That will be his own doing.

I haven't eliminated this idea by any means. I think Worley will start out of the gate and I wouldn't be surprised to see a second QB.

I'm not sure that being a fan of one player over another is worthy of such negativity. Truth is. It's Ok to be a big fan of a player. We don't know how the depth chart will pan out. Worley could go down again. and then it could be Dobbs for a series and he goes down with and ACL. And then Ferg comes in and does well. Or vice versa. Or Peterman. It never offends me that my Volnation brothers and sisters have conversations about who they think will be a better QB. Isn't that what forums are for? :hi:

Amazing to me how so many posters appear to literally hate Ferguson on here because guys like me, who have never once said Ferguson should or would start, cut and paste quotes from Butch and the VolQuest guys saying Ferguson has the strongest arm and is splitting team 1 reps.

Anywho, I expect Worley to start with Dobbs and Ferguson battling for 2nd. I personally really like Dobbs and would have no problem with him starting. Either way, I'll pull for whoever the QB is...even Peterman.

Dobbferguworlerman. He's our guy. In all seriousness though, I'm with you. I'd be surprised, yet intrigued if it isn't Worley in game 1.
