Goalpost is 60 yards away. With trajectory could've had anywhere from 3 to 5 more yards (not +10). Still pretty good distance for an alleged weak-armed guy , eh?

SJT and KBVol? What are you guys opinions' on our QB's with a weaker/inexperienced OL? Will we need a mobile QB to compete?
I go back and forth between Worley(reliable).....then Dobbs(mobile)...fergy(no clue-hasnt played)
(not smartass---honest question)
10+?
He was standing on the 50 yard line. Goal post is another 10 yards at the back of the end zone, that's 60 yds. Plus the additional 4-5 yds because he hit an object 10 feet high at 60 yds.....60+ yds IMO.
Agree that his arm is more than strong enough.
Thx... agree but it will be interesting to see how things play out. GBO!Not sure, I'm certainly no expert. I've heard a few different guys say that they think we'll possibly rely on the short passing game early to potentially mitigate the potential mistakes that may come from the OLs youth and inexperience. We certainly have a few guys now (North, Malone, Pearson, the young talented TEs) who can athletically turn a short/quick route into a big gain.
No doubt that in this system a mobile, willing-to-run QB is better and I honestly believe all 4 can do that with Dobbs showing that he's an excellent playmaker with his feet. That being said, decision - making, good judgment and accuracy are still the traits that are gonna best determine who our starting QB will be. My money's on Worley starting game 1 even though I personally really like Dobbs
Seeing that it looks like Worley will likely be starter, do you see any of the other QB's looking to transfer?
What about Dobbs or Ferguson. They're younger so they'd be more motivated in not wanting to ride the bench.
And yet it was his practice film they showed prospective WR recruits? Somethings fishy.
Could it be that RF was not this staffs QB recruit and that Dobbs was. Could it be that one was privately shown favoritism and that play calling was tilted to mask deficiencies and promote productivity for one, while another was put in less than favorable positions. Could it be that these type of things,, unseen to the average fan, wore on a young man and made him resent being in the film*room. Maybe he saw the writing on the wall.

i guess when i was saying all this, i didn't know anything or i was just "against" riley......well now it's all out on front street.
Riley Ferguson was the only quarterback not elected into the players staff by his teammates. Not a good sign. Every time Riley went home to NC it was a battle to get him to come back to Knoxville. Playing QB at UT is a Global Position and Riley could never understand that, Butch Jones. It was not grades, it was not one poor decision, it a laundry list of entitlement issues and classic immaturity. Butch gets it right? Would a guy that gets it put the future of the program in the hands of a guy that doesnt appreciate what he has at the end of the day? I think not! Riley hated to watch film, was not a leader and felt like raw ability should get him the job every time sound familiar? (Tyler Bray) Mike Bajakian told me yesterday, on Tuesday, that it would be hard to ever put the ball in the hands of someone that you dont trust. The T word is the single most important word in that QB meeting room and that is FACT! Bottom line was Riley did not want the pressure and responsibility of the position he was battling for. He wanted to be handed the job because he has more physical ability and no intangibles, that my Vol fan friends is a no go every time in my VFL playbook. Riley left on his own accord and that is true. Positive note, I guarantee these 2015 QB recruits are taking notice of a 3 QB roster! Commit now of forever hold your jorts! There was always promise with Riley Ferguson to MAYBE, one day, figure it out and be great while still in that beautiful PMS 151 jersey. Now he will be at Charlotte? Dobbs flipping late was not by accident, tremendous ability but a lack of work ethic can be seen in a matter of one meeting from Coach to player. All my best, from old #10 to old #10.
