I wasn't proud of that game...I was disgusted. We lost on a substitution error....THIRTEEN MEN ON THE FIELD! Not even 12....THIRTEEN! It was a coaching blunder, pure and simple.
Even though I kept my doubts to myself, since Dooley was brand new at the time, it created a doubt in my mind as to whether he was really up to it or not.
That's not the case with this loss....not at all. LSU was a whole other vibe.
LOL...and their is the typical Vol fan that turned us old Vol fans away and makes the whole fan base look like stupid red necks. LOL.
I'm just stating the obvious, pee wee. If you can't see it....well...sorry for you.
This team found way to grasp loss from jaws of victory
It was not victory
5 years later dam
Guys ignore this dum dum.
He is one of those that said he didn't expect us to win against (one of the losses can't remember) but said he wished they were competitive and gave them a challenge.
Guess we'll never know what he wants to keep him from griping.
They played a great game! Not a moral victory but as another poster said on another thread, can't remember which one, but this was a MORALE victory! They came so close to beating #6! :] I'm proud of them. They'll watch the film Sunday and see where and what they need to work on. They're growing and they aren't the same team they were before. They're a greater team! So let's quit with the negative energy and start with some positive. ♥ GBO and I'll be seeing the game personally in Knoxville! ♥♥♥
This game, sir, was lost by a bunch of men who played their hearts out and left 100%...ALL of it on that field today.
I would rather lose a dozen games like this than to win with a team that has no soul and no heart.
This loss feels different from the "close" losses in the past 4 or 5 years in that this was an excellently coached, well played football game.
As for you, we care not if you ever show your face around here again...definitely NOT A FAN!!!...good day
We were all proud of dooley his first year vs LSU and we all know the story. Look, it was a great game, that doesnt change the fact that UT lost and had a huge defensive meltdown at the end of regulation. Still waiting for something to be excited about.
You could have made an identical statement in Year 1 under Dooley (LSU game).
I'm not jumping on anyone, just stating the obvious. Can you tell me that what I stated is wrong? We should be competitive every game and they should play their hearts out every game. It should be the norm and not the exception.
