Does people talking about moral victories anger you? Make you red in the face? Send your blood pressure up? Maybe cause a stroke?

I don't believe in moral victories either, but if I know it pisses you off...

HELL YEAH VOLS WAY TO GO! NICE MORAL VICTORY!!!

NICE MORAL VICTORY!

NICE MORAL VICTORY!

NICE MORAL VICTORY!

Maybe he'll stroke out....

:eek:lol:

Guys...this is a "moral victory" if we're in 2009. It's 2013. We've had about 5 of these over the years.

I really, truly fear that this is the max pain point. I don't know if the veterans on this team can take this anymore.

Get real. They will be inspired by this and whip some gamecock butt

We were all proud of dooley his first year vs LSU and we all know the story. Look, it was a great game, that doesnt change the fact that UT lost and had a huge defensive meltdown at the end of regulation. Still waiting for something to be excited about.

I swear some of you naggers can't see the forest for the trees. Our inexperienced team played lights out against the number 6 team in the nation. Yeah we had some bad things happen but who here can honestly say we aren't making improvement?

Rome wasn't built in 60 minutes and an ugly overtime. It was built brick by brick.

it sucks to lose but I feel way better about this team now than I did this morning. If that's a moral victory then I'll take it. It's reality no matter how you shake it.

Thing is with all you "VFLs" is that you call it a moral victory and then we lose another 4 games. Not so much a moral victory then. Im not saying we lose to SC but we still lost tonight. 12-0 in the moral victory department is still 0-12.

You could have made an identical statement in Year 1 under Dooley (LSU game).

That game was lost by a coaching blunder, pure and simple. This one was a close turnover by a player playing his guts out, trying to win. Big difference.

Also, I don't recall us converting three 4th downs on a single drive in that LSU game, one of which went for 40+ yards, nor do I recall our QB playing particularly well (Simms) after people having massive doubts about his ability.

In short, there are big differences.

Disappointed but proud of the effort.
2 weeks to prepare for the Ball coach.
Better bring his best game.

This team found way to grasp loss from jaws of victory

It was not victory

This game, sir, was lost by a bunch of men who played their hearts out and left 100%...ALL of it on that field today.

I would rather lose a dozen games like this than to win with a team that has no soul and no heart.

This loss feels different from the "close" losses in the past 4 or 5 years in that this was an excellently coached, well played football game.

As for you, we care not if you ever show your face around here again...definitely NOT A FAN!!!...good day

You can always find differences in details. The fact is that Tennessee hung right with a much deeper, more talented team (on the road) and lost a heartbreaker. Same thing happened here, except this is #5 or #6 in the list. The LSU game was the first one and give people something to hope for. The "hope" factor diminishes with each one of these.

We played our hearts out, just hope we can build on this game and win a couple of SEC games, it won't be easy

Please go cheer for another team you douche. Those boys played their asses of when NOBODY gave them a chance. They are more talented at damn near every position, the #6 team in the nation and we are in full on rebuilding mode. So yes today was great for our young men and I couldn't be any proud of them. We lost with a man stretching to get that last inch and it just didn't go our way.

Fans like you make us all look like a bunch of jerks. So take your bs somewhere else bc anyone with a freaking brain that knows anything about football knows that our guys did great today and just showed the nation the this team and CBJ are on the right path, and I guarantee it did a ton of good for our recruits to see Neyland stadium actually be Neyland for the first time in YEARS.

So heads up young men, we are proud you a your effort. Let fans like this one go play in the street!

I want whatever you're on

You seriously don't think we have a shot?

LOL! Wow, it must really suck to be you.

I can't even imagine being that negative...it's probably bad for your health. Especially considering this is just a game.

I don't think being realistic is bad for your health at all.
