Even though I don't agree with Hat on Dooley, I will say I don't think UT ever becomes an elite power in this conference with Dooley as HC. I think after a couple of horrible seasons with depleted depth and talent, Dooley will be run out of town.

Derek Dooley maybe a fine coach but do we really expect to compete with the likes of Saban or Meyer in this conference. Nevermind if LSU or UGA actually get HCs with more competence than baboons.

Hat who are you impressed with on this staff? I know you don't care for Dooley but I would like to hear your opinions on Wilcox and some of the others.

I like the offensive staff. Chuck Smith will likely grow into being a pretty good coach. Wilcox seems to be solid, but he's not going to be playing the Hal Mummes of the world every Saturday now. Lance Thompson probably should have been made the interim coach for this season after Kiffin left.

The staff is good, and if Dooley demands excellence from everyone, we shouldn't be too bad. I still think he's in way over his head.

I'd like to see what hat really knows is all. See if Dooley is actual the "mental invalid" that he makes him out to be. If he's that dumb, as hat points out, he would make short work of him and Dooley would make hat our new HC.

I agree with this. I am not really sold on Chaney as a real OC yet, but I think he could be good. What do you think about Hinshaw? Of the sorta no-name guys, I have been impressed with him the most, on the recruiting trail at least.
